Usually I don't pay much attention to astrology, but over the past month I've had an unusual string of nearly day-to-day occurences that match exactly what my horroscope reads. I'm wondering if anyone out there actually (or secretly) takes into consideration what their partner's "sign" is, or if the majority thinks it's a bunch of hocus-pokus new age crap that means absolutely nothing.

I think some people are astrologically better matched ,but any relationship can work if the two involved are willing.
Also, you can look up 15 different astrology sites and they will all say something different about what sign is compatible with another.
Another consideration you have to take in is going beyond the Sun Sign. I once did a chart on my compatibly with a sing that was not a match by the Sun Signs, but with all the other planets involved, that relationship could work.

I'd say astrology is a fact. I'd even say it's a multi-million dollar/year fact. Enron and Bre-X were also facts--fortunately, they aren't anymore

Enron and Bre-X were also facts--fortunately, they aren't anymore Funny when you think about it...it's outlasted just about everything so far....it may not be the oldest profession, but astrologers are way up there in terms of history...
but then, the fault lies not in our stars Horatio, but in ourselves..

If the leadership of our nation (Ronald Regan 1980's) believes that America future is determined by the alignment of the stars. Maybe it's credible?
I don't think so.
Please no more presidents with mental deficiencies.

I look at my horoscope at day's end, and often I say "wow-that was it!' Then I go back and read the wording. How it's stated is often so loosely worded, it could be just about anything...

Astrology is exactly like religion. There is no scientific basis. You just have to believe it to believe in it. If you LIKE it, you will believe it's fact.

i like to read the characteristics of a sign & see how people match up w/them. sometimes it's really funny how correct it can be when describing the personality traits of someone born under a particular sign.

Just hocus pocus. Like religion, it's just a scam to separate weak minded people from their money. And it works on the same principal, "I'm not responsible for what I do, God/stars preplanned it and made me do it". Bull, everyone is responsible for whatever they do, no laying it off on mystic forces.

I know what my sign's characteristics are suppose to be, but they all don't apply. I know who my "best match" is spose to be, but my best match was not one of my horoscope's callings.

I fit my sign's characteristics pretty darn close.
As far as matches go, I still stay you have to involve all the planets and place/time of birth to get an accurate reading.

There are some kind of Horoscops or Astrology
General horoscops or signs' characteristics are sometimes correct....as they are general some things could be guessed
Detailed horoscops ----> just expensive fiction

as a result of losing a bet i enrolled in a basic astrology class some time ago. I came to believe it to be a science all it's own, and a very complicated one at that. Ponder this: if our bodies are made up of mostly water, as we all know, and it's a proven fact that the planets effect the global tides, then it stands to reason that we are too effected by the planets.....to read the little quips in daily readings are fun, but how can 1/12 of the worlds population fit into a few sentences....its fun to read them, but don't take credence for there is much more to it.... I am a Taurus with a Virgo rising....anyone compatible with me out there?
