ok so I know this could be one hell of a can of worms, yet I dare, I must.
Reading threw the forums and posting and blogs and just profiles, and countless emails, I have noticed that there are many people that are struggling with this online stuff.
I have equally noticed that there are some that don't.
So heres a spot we can bring the two together and make more connections happen...
So examples,
What have you seen work for you, and on you?
Any tips, trick, or general rules?

NEVER give a guy/girl you haven't met nor plan on meeting your Address/phone no.#.....no matter how close you think you have become...they can..and will turn on you at the drop of a hat....

Some people never voice an opinion and just agree with everyone to be popular ... lots of compliments and telling everyone how great they are.
This means you never know what they are thinking or how they really feel ....
I say give an opinion and voice your thoughts but without being insulting or rude .... no one really respects a "YES" man

A sense of humour helps.
Don`t have high expectations, because if it doesn`t work out, someone is going to get hurt...you.
If it doesn`t work out don`t go all ballistic..move on..the other person probably feels the same way you do.
Have fun and always keep a positive attitude. No one wants to talk to someone who is always so damn negative.

Yeah, people don't get sarcasm, and they don't get satire. I mean maybe it's because we can't hear it being spoken but sometimes when I write satire blogs the reaction is hilarious.

I have no tips. I'm about as lame as they come. But I can tell them what NOT to do.....
Don't ask for offsite contact right away 
Don't ask me for nude pictures
Don't offer to send me nude pictures of YOU
Don't offer to fly me out for a weekend
Don't tell me that I'm just what your looking for, and then ask me what I do for a living (read my freaking profile!)
Don't write me and make comments on my anatomy
Yeah, there are a few more. But I don't want to gross everyone out.

Names and handles,
this always seemed to perk an eyebrow, is when you play with or off their handle, like um loveningsunshine, cut it call them lovens or shine or even sunni.
ya want to stay misterious? dont sign your name in your emails, even after they have offered theirs, wait a bit, um five emails, a day or two, if ya still geting a letter from them, then add your name.
very few people know my real name.
Careful of who you buddy up with, even your "friends" are strangers online, they have their own agenda, own motives....

My Online Life here is about reading & occasionally posting in the forums ... as is well stated in my profile. The very first words of my profile state that I am *Not Looking*.
And yet, I continue to get emails ... "I think we may be perfect for each other" .... "I love your pictures. Wanna hook up?" .... "Write me at my yahoo address." ... etc.
Or (& I just adore THESE) emails berating me for being here ... Ordering me to remove or hide my profile ..
