Definitely. Also, the way they percieve or interact with him in the beginning stages will most likely stick with them for the duration...

But, it could be months before you get to meet. What if there is a large distance involved and both people have complicated lives? There is also truth in this statement as well.....and this is a very real possiblility....it happens...and can be worked through....but it involves 2 parties, not just one...... I think if it is a long distance relationship there should be plenty of communication for it to work....talking on the phone, or emails on a regular basis.....noone should have to guess or be left in the dark wondering about where the relationship stands or if there is even a relationship at all...........there is no reality involved without effective and consistant communication.... Then you begin to wonder if it was really real at all.........

involves 2 parties, not just one.... I agree, both people involved should state how they feel and what is going on
....talking on the phone, or emails Some people might feel that daily phone calls are too much. I think that when you call daily, you get a better sense of the other person and what surrounds them in their life. For example, if you only talked to me at night when the house is quiet, you might not get the whole picture of what I do daily. If we spoke at various times during the day, maybe it is quiet, maybe kids are fighting, maybe all you would hear is mom....mom...mom....
Lots of communication is good....nobody should be left wondering what the other person is thinking

Yes-a highly potential SO should know what goes on in a love interests life. Or they aren't too interested in reality.

Yes Angel....lots of communication is needed.....but I didn't say daily neccessarily....just wanted to clarify that. ...."a regular basis" could be a few times a week....but whatever it is it should be consistant.......not a hit and miss situation..

Remember that online may not be face to face, but it's still real. You could end up with hurt feelings or could end up hurting someone else's feelings. Be careful of each.

believe actions speaks much louder than words......and there comes a time when peoples feelings are involved that you have to come off of the internet world and into reality.......otherwise it is merely a fantasy world and someone is bound to get hurt sooner or later..
I did mention that in my earlier post Pam...
That's my point....people can get hurt....
Angel........NO of course not!! NOT too many times a day at all!!!

What I find effective is to concentrate on one, primarily, even while participating in threads, etc. If a person has 4 or 5 callers/etc. going at once, it would be awful hard to "give" it your all.( Doesn't mean friends should be ignored!)
And if a person doesn't do that, sooner or later, IMHO only-it will bite them in the butt.
