I would be more than willing to relocate for that special someone, but can't because that would take my 8-year-old so far away from her Daddy. It wouldn't be fair.
I don't think anybody mentioned that, yet.
Your choice(s) do(es) affect others...

Yes they do.

My only problem relocating would be having to sell my house.

Welcome to the forums, home_nuff_alrdy.

You're right...I would never have relocated when my children were young. I wouldn't leave them and I wouldn't take them away from their dad. Now that my children are of age to take care of themselves (though one of them doesn't want to), I would be willing to relocate. I'd be leaving behind four daughters, two grandsons and my mom, but I am not happy being away from the man I love anyway.

People who know they aren't willing to relocate for love should never start an online relationship with someone who lives too far away from them. It's just wasting the other person's time and someone will probably get hurt.
Personally I care more about passion than practicality and I would rather be with someone who wants to be with me no matter where we live than someone who is just seeing me because I live close and it's convenient.

Well, I personally did not think that I would ever relocate....but if you meet someone that is so multilevel...soooo much to offer....am I supposed to give that up cause they live far away?
I am not saying that I would never relocate...it might take a while....
I do not want to think that my soulmate might be really far away....and because i don't want to move my family that i'm supposed to give that up....

Both people don't have to be willing to relocate but someone has to be willing to move if you find it really is love and you want to be together.

And Pali, I hope you are able to move soon. It sounds like you've definitely been together in person enough to know it's what you both want.

I wish all the couples much love and happiness . I'm very happy you have found each other.

I have a daughter who is a Junior. She's the only reason I could not relocate immediately. When she is out of high school that will change. If I happen to fall for someone online I will find a way to make it work, if he feels the same. I have the ability and the job that would allow me to spend time with that person until we can be together forever. I have met and dated a good many people online, I just haven't found that special someone yet. I have only tried one LDR and most of you know about that. I would like to fall in love with someone close enough to see very often but if it is a LDR .... I'll have to deal with it. You can't choose who to fall in love with. A year ago I wouldn't talk to anyone online that didn't live within 3 hours of me, then I got on MD that changed.

Artist: Lila McCann
Song: I Wanna Fall In Love

Look at me now
Won't you listen to my heart
Cryin' out loud
I've been standing in the dark

I want someone to show me the way
I'm lost on a lonely road
There must be a light at the end of the tunnel
Before I go out of control

I wanna fall in love
I wanna feel that rush
Runnin' into my heart, shakin' up my soul
Feelin' like I've never felt before
I wanna fall in love
I wanna feel that touch
I've only dreamed about it, I've been livin' without it
And that ain't good enough
I wanna fall in love

Somewhere out there
Someone else is searchin' like me
And I know he must be hurtin'
Maybe tonight he's walkin' down
The same road I've been takin'
And we'll meet up without even talkin'
And he'll know what I'm sayin'

I wanna fall in love
I wanna feel that rush
Runnin' into my heart, shakin' up my soul
Feelin' like I've never felt before
I wanna fall in love
I wanna feel that touch
I've only dreamed about it, I've been livin' without it
And that ain't good enough
I wanna fall in love

Maybe tonight he's walkin' down
The same road I've been takin'
And we'll meet up without even talkin'
And he'll know what I'm sayin'
I wanna fall. . .

I wanna fall in love
I wanna feel that rush
Runnin' into my heart, shakin' up my soul
Feelin' like I've never felt before
I wanna fall in love
I wanna feel that touch
I've only dreamed about it, I've been livin' without it
And that ain't good enough
I wanna fall in love

I've been online for over 11 years.... Most of the experts say that less than 1% of online romances work... I've met several hundred people over the years, made many friends, but they tend to drift away after there is no hope for romance...

in 3 months most of the people "dating" online will be with another person....

SB...you're a sweetheart. I remember when I had my "five year plan" which meant to get the heck out of this town as soon as my kids all graduated. Well, those five years have come and gone. LOL

lol one sec kats.

Ok online or the real deal.
we are hungry,
now we can post each other pics of a big mac extra pickles and sauce all we want,
and sure, for right now and here, helps the tummy feel alittle bit full. Yet what happens after we turn off the puter and the big mac goes away? Our hunger has always been there, yet now its a ravish...and this can lead to all sorts of problems, and disodrders

now on the other hand, youre here, next to me in bed, and we are feeding each other our big macs....
now which ones better?

and kats , i think i just got to be a not chicken and man up myself

But Burns, everything we see, touch, taste, smell, hear... is just stimulus that triggers brain synapses... Nothing is real - it's all just the brain's perception of reality. A hypnotist could put a penny on your forearm and tell you it is white hot - and your forearm would blister. Your mind is what's driving your senses - not the other way around...
