I vote for the here and now. Even if you do finally meet the online "love" in person, it may not work out. And then you could have missed the love of your life who was right under your nose.

I never have a problem with that. But sometimes, real life can bite us in the butt. Do we then say, sorry, there's this person I know that sits behind a screen and types? Sorry-get lost...and we have no REAL day set up to even meet the person?

So if everybody votes for the here and now, meaning real life, what the hell are we all doin here huh? It's easier than getting dolled up in the event we happen to meet someone at the grocery store!
I think using the internet is just another method of a way to come into contact with someone......it's no different than going out to bars, parties, church functions, PTA meetings, etc., etc. The aim is to eventually meet and go from there. As Touch said, no expectations. And once you've actually met face to face, it really is no different than "the real world" - or it shouldn't be anyway!

Well I have actually met in person a few of the people I have connected to online. It was kind of an adventure. With this type of medium there is always the chance that you might meet someone that much better. The tendency to toss someone aside is so much easier when there is the chance of meeting that Perfect match. I mean,,why hang up your sneakers when the perfect person might be just a click away.... Attraction is a must,,,but why not just get to know the other person a bit more.......What's the rush? ....if you're not just looking for more than a roll in the hay? If that's the case, you're wasting precious booty time on the computer

Online stuff is a bunch of cerebral fantasy. I honestly don't take anyone on here seriously (including the E-mails). The net is just for kicks to pass time until I can meet someone that lives within 40 miles or less from my home.
You want to know why???? Because NO ONE EVER RELOCATES.
c'mon you all know this is a head game.

I have a question.....
You've been talking for months to someone who lives far away.....you become very close....and the person says if you go out with other people he will basically end the relationship........because he thinks you should put your all into that relationship with him.. There has been no meeting, but talk of a meeting only. Does he have a right to ask that of you? Should that never be discussed until after a meet?....or should that type of committment be established even before a meet? I value your opinions....

I can only speak for me, but if someone wants exclusivity before we've even met, we will probably never meet. It just reeks of insecurity, and that's one of my personal red flags, but that's just me.
