I try reaaaallllyyyy hard to guard my heart, but often it doesn't work....because I care way too much about everything and everyone. If I could build a wall up, I'd build it out of brick and mortar.

I guard my heart against, hate. And mass stupidity. I guard my heart against ingnorance and even worse, indifference. I guard my heart against residue anger and spite. I guard my heart against, the decete of lies. I guard against harming others, for I wish for none myself. I guard my heart from hunger and want of which i myself give false idle too.
I guard my heart, its my heart.
I have no walls. I just hold my heart carefully.

I like to think my heart is always open....open to be able to share love to all living things. And there are no walls around my heart so love can enter, also.

I guard my heart against all but two. My son, who at any point can touch and hold its true reality, and my other half...
...to everyone else, my heart sits like the rarest of pearl encircled by life. you can see it clearly, put your hand on it, but never breech the barrier that protects it. you'll never really touch it though you feel you caress it cause the lessons of life have taught the barrier too much. but you can see it, it hides in plain sight and is always there for you.
