Would you marry a person who had been married 2 or more times?

Personally I would first determine why he had been married so much and talk to him about his past marriages, what happened that drove him to becoming divorced in the first place. Alot of times it's not the woman's or man's fault, it's just incompatibility. I think every man and woman deserves a 3rd or more chance at love.

I would not even consider marriage until I was certain that it was what I wanted to do...I also don't think that 2 times is excessive...3 times is shaky..4 times makes me go....hmmmm.....

If I actually ever wanted to get married again...2 times would not bother me...

3 or more...I don't think so

Well I'd think at my age, if he had never been married, there must be something wrong! LOL Oops, that's me! Nope nothing wrong with me.
2 times is ok and I even have some friends on their 3rd. So I don't know.

Edited to say: Now if he was having an affair with me and divorced to marry me, I would suspect that it could happen again. Then no way would I want marriage. But believing the way I do, I wouldn't get involved with someone who is currently married anyway and if he had been lying, it would be over the minute I found out.

Wouldn't bother me. I will say that no, my husband was not married that many times before me though.

Very good, Painter!

It's something I'd want to go over, but I don't think it should rule them out, no.

Would depend on the circumstances of the prior marriages. If there is just a cycle of divorces then I would say hell no.

I know two women who have multiple marriages and both see it as a sign of attactiveness to have been married so many times. Silly as that is, that is how they see it.
Neither are close friends because both of them are people who play games and very self centered and there is not much to form a relationship on, I just know them casually.
Someone under 40 with 2 divorces would not be someone for consideration for me. I would pass on them due to poor judgement and bad luck.

it just depends on the person.. I know 3 people that are on their third and fourth marriage.. they are very happy and have finally found their true love..
People can be very good at lies.. some are extrememly skilled at it. The minute the vows are said it's like the cloak comes off and the true person emerges..
I've only been married once.. and the thought of doing it again scares the hell out of me.. but I know I don't want to spend the rest of my life alone.

I was married young, divorced after 6 years(due to his lack of loyalty and communication) 2nd marriage was to a man 14 years older then me and lasted 20 years till he passed away 5 years ago. This is my third and final marriage and I anticipate it lasting till one or both of us passes on.

Circumstances play a big part in whether or not I would have married someone who had been married more then twice. Incidently, he has only been married once and that was 20 years ago.

If you find the one that shares your heart and soul why does it matter how many times they have been married?

I'm with Snappy...

(Throughout the dating process, the subject of why a person has been divorced several times will probably come up..)

Personally I think that 1 marriage is perfect.
In case of failure I don't think to marry me twice, neither with single man nor with a man already married in the past.
I would prefer a cohabitation with my always economic indipendence.
