When looking for a partner in life, I find that smell is very important. If you're one of those good smelling men.....my, my, my....it can almost ignite the animal instinct in me.
For myself, I wear "Knowing" by Estee Lauder and have had many compliments from both men and women....guess it just goes with my chemistry.
Some people just "smell" good using soap or lotion...(yep, and there are those who reek ).....
I recently smelled a men's cologne at the mall called "Onyx".....Omg....Awesome...
Ok folks....what works for you?

As a woman you can't lose with a perfumed oil "white musk" put out by body shop...it's affordable and guys seem to love it
As for how a guy smells, I couldn't agree more! Someone wearing killer cologne just kills me

I like a girl that smells like onions and olive oil... reminds me of my mom. I don't use alot of cologne myself - but I find myself taking a lot of cold showers lately.

Smell is extremely important to me, but I don't like most colognes or perfumes. I like clean body smells, like shampooed hair, clean clothes, etc.. Sometimes I like not-so-clean body smells...something about a sweaty guy who's been working on a car...
Really, even though I smoke, I have a very sensitive nose, and I can actually taste someone's cologne or perfume, in my mouth, from several feet away. Weird, I know, but it's a big turn-off...

I love the smell of wood! When a man just used his skill saw making something like a special piece of furniture or cutting logs. That smell is so homey and brings nature home.

You know, I read once that in a Real Scientific Study, they discovered that men are more physically aroused by the smell of vanilla than any other scent, including actual feminine (ahem) scent.
So see, ladies...mom was right when she told you that men are more about the food than anything else!

I'm deathly allergic to cologne, perfumes, after shave... scented laundry detergent is another...
so I do my clothes a second rinse with a cup of vinegar in the washer
on that second cycle... ok so I smell like pickles....

My favorite perfume used to be Jungle Gardenia, by Tuvache. It was discontinued, a long time ago. Smelled EXACTLY like the real flower, which is my favorite flower scent.
I have since found Island Gardenia by Jovan. It isn't quite the same, but is the closest I've come yet.
I used to buy my ex-husband British Sterling. It's been so many years, I don't really recall exactly how it smelled, but I know it was sensual.
