I appreciate and respect a nice guy, over a bad boy anytime. A bad boy may be fun for the moment, but a nice guy will be there for the long haul.

Often they come across as nice, genuine, considerate and after we fall for them they`re anything but.
Online or real life, we swear we won't get fooled again, next thing we know we're back on that roller coaster. I'm so skeptical that after 8 months of never ever catching this guy in any kind of lie, I'm still taking it one week at a time. See, I'm improving on this trust thing...it used to be one day.

Lies build on each other. Tell a lie, then you have to tell another one to cover up the first, then two or three more so nobody finds out you lied to coverup the lie, and so on.
It's so much easier to just tell the truth. Besides, my memory isn't good enough for lieing. I can't remember true stuff, much less some lie I made up!

Fortunately Igg, I learned a long time ago not to project what one person does onto another. So the “one bad apple ruins the whole bunch“ theory has never been a problem for me. I choose to see each person for the individual they are.
My comment was, nothing more than a comment based on previous experience.

then the whole opposite gender is a culprit.
In my mind, if s/he wants to have a stable life,
they should know the opinions of the opposite
one over a lengthy period of time.This way
the possibilities of failure is lower than

Iggy, I'm only speaking for myself here...but my problem's less about trusting other people than it is about trusting my own judgment. If I could choose to marry a man, and love and trust him completely, then have him turn around and not only abuse me but our son, obviously I was waaaaaaaaaaaay wrong about him. It's not other people that I have a problem trusting, it's my judgment of them. I really felt from the beginning that the guy I'm seeing is the gen-u-wine article, a really good man...and I still think so. I don't check up on him, quiz him, test him or try to trick him. If he's not the man I think he is, I'll find out eventually, the hard way. What I have a problem with is thinking in terms of future...but there's no such thing as a sure thing anyway.

when i was single, it's cos they tended to dress in a way i preferred and they "got" me...they struggled with mental illness, had a messed up home life, and liked to talk about deeper subjects. they also understood why i thought having doors opened for me and chairs pulled out for me, and why receiving flowers was f***ed up.
