Okay, have any of you met or been out with anyone online who is well known, famous, or semi famous, or was in the past? Maybe just talked with them online?

I've checked in some famous and not so famous country western singers when I used to work at a motel. But that's as close as I've gotten.

Well, I have met or had dates with some, not any that are still famous. You will find this interesting maybe.
I had a date with Steppenwolf's ex drummer, he runs an auto parts store now in Austin.
I had a date with Al Green's trumpet and keyboardist, he is blond and blue eyed, he is still online all the time, a very nice man.
He is retired at the moment but was selling kitchen cabinets last I heard.
I talked a lot with Tommy Jame's ex drummer, he was writing me a song, but then disappeared. I found out later that he had had a serious bout with cancer, another very nice man who is now working as a surgical tech. He is only five four, but very handsome and soooo nice, I will tell anyone where to meet him if they want. You women would like him, he is a very nice man, he is in NC.
I was talking to Johnny Rodriquez's drummer in Tx, he has a boat place, he was very nice.
Now, there is a man online all the time who still tours and sings but he tries to cam you all the time, and I will leave his name unspoken.
It is interesting that these people who were at the top at one time are all very normal everyday people now. I think it is amazing how many of them you can run across just online. It is also amazing how these men who made so much money at one time are now just working everyday jobs. I guess like most entertainers, they drank and smoked it all up, lived high and spent it all.

MY famous folks are in my pics willie nelson and Ronnie Mcdowell.... ( i did do a duet of unchained melody with Ronnie ) onstage at a casino.. Sweet N Louisiana

I used to manage a hotel. So quite a few. I have never DATED any of them. But dinner, drinks, that kind of thing.
Alabama (the band)
Paul Newman
Loverboy (the band)
Heck, I'd have to haul out the pictures. But their just regular people. But Alabama actually came to my home and I fed them a home cooked meal. They were VERY polite and greatful not to have to eat in a restruant.

Dated none. Met many. Friends with a few.
- Del Amitri - the Scottish Band. Still in contact with Justin Currie (new album out now!). We got blitzed on Guinness one night in Minneapolis.
- Michelle Malone - Singer Songwriter out of Georgia. Her album was on the ballot for a Grammy Award, but she didn't get the nomination this time.
- Mary Lou Lord - another singer/songwriter currently living in the Salem MA area.
- The Push Stars - a band out of the Boston area.
- Dave Alvin - Met him twice, great guy. Used to be in The Blasters; The Knitters; X...
- Sheryl Crow - Met her when she was still doing record store appearances.
But my favorite story is becoming friends with Julie Newmar. The original Catwoman on the TV show Batman. She's an amazing woman.

bev--Johnny Rodriguez is one of the people I met working at the motel. He locked himself out of his room and at 2 a.m. I had to give him an extra key! LOL

As far as dating, just strippers and minor pagent types. But I've met some really famous people.
I worked my way through school driving a taxi, and among the people I had in my cab were: (this is the 1970's era)
Bob Hope - traveling alone to a golf tournament at a country club. Real nice down to earth guy.
James Brown - had 3 yes men with him, a real prick, wouldn't even talk to me himself, he'd tell one of his flunkies to "tell the driver, blah blah". Then tried to get out of paying the fare by having his flunkie offer me an autographed pic instead.
Phyllis Diller - Way better looking in person, she would wear makeup to look worse on stage, that was her schtick.
Doris Day - By far my favorite, she had family in the town, and was a frequent visitor. At the time she had a husband named Terry something or other who was an abusive jackass. When she was with him, she was a different person than alone. If I could ever date one of those hollywood types, she would have been it, even though, she's probably 25 years older than me. A real, nice classy person.

All of you are so interesting. I knew Roy Orbison when I was growing up, he lived down the road from us. He taught Sunday School in my church. He was really red headed and freckle faced. He wore glasses about two inches thick. He had Sunday dinner with us. He used to have a tv show on Sat afternoons in Odessa, he always started out with tutti fruiti and I hated that song.
Lol, I do seem to attract drummers, but you know what they say about musicians.

I have been out with a few very public figures......and they are very well known and just as nice as can be.......people thought I was crazy during the situation and I believe they are just people like anyone else.........there is a few I stay in touch with ......and I think very highly of them.......extremley successful and will always be on top    my mouth is sealed at the time   and I did not meet them online.......I met them out......

Alabama was cool.
They were some jokesters. My sister used to date that one with the beard (the brawny paper towel one).
He said it was so funny making people think you needed a fiddle in the band to play in Texas.
