Isn't there something sick/narcissistic about a guy who considers "his own precious self " to be some sort of a "prize" ?
I can see your point, cap. Indeed , some people obviously fail to realize that being WORTHY of love and admiration hardly equals being ENTITLED to it. Therefore, self-esteem ( providing it has some grounds) has nothing to do with taking love/admiration/care/etc. for granted. Normal person realizes that he's not the only one worthy person in this world and appreciates being "special" for the partner.
There's nothing more ridiculous than a person who "appoints himself " special ...
