Blues: Maybe these statistics aren't pertinent to those who make comments for the sake of making a comment whether accurate or not,
...Oh, I was accurate... and so was Nah. Before you arrived, we have went through this before; although Ohio was not the demographics used, so I thought I should run some stats... just in case you guys were more infected.
Newbie or not, you need a little help with research...
...Even without protection and no health certificate from a partner, a guy my age, race and gender, has a better chance of getting struck by lightning, than catching Gonorhea in Ohio...
About 1 chance in 96,000
...Age is 3.8% X 15.5% white X 45% male X 20,000 total = 52 out of 5 million white males, or about 1 guy my age out of every 96,000 or so that have contracted Gonorhea.
...Pertinent to me? ... not really.

Well I think it is decent to provide intellectual, factual information in such a timely manner. And no less providing a link to document the information in such a decent way.
I am so glad there hasn't been any indecent comments being made.

I have met a few men from MD and they were all very decent. One I lived with for two years until he passed on. As some one said, decent is in the eyes of the beholder. I have appreciated this thread as SG has presented information I was not aware of. Thanks....

Yes you are the newbie and unlike most who would enter gently and not brandish words like swords as you have done .. Let me assure you this is NOT the normal place where nastiness is tolerated ..why?? because these people on here have actually taken the time to become friends with each other .. The anonymity usually prevalent with the net and other sites is almost non existent here on these boards. Yes there are rivals, but MOST of the time they can debate/discuss issues or quandaries with each other without resorting to the nastiness you immediately showed in this thread... And yes there are those whose issues or agendas are so apparent that they are ignored and all their spouting of rhetoric is thought of as nothing more than a look at me tactic..... Then we have the people .. ahem.. who just seem to think they are ABOVE normal polite society and come guns blazing and words brandishing to attack others without provocation and then try to shift blame to others for their actions..
All in all the majority of the members here on these boards are decent (see I am on topic  ) people who will stand up for their friends when they are attacked. .. I too have met some extremely decent men AND Women on here and I am proud and humbled in the same breath to call them friend .

I got bored while waiting for them. 
While the math calculation is fine, the formula used in that calculation is not. There is an assumption of a linear distribution of values without any supporting data for that type of distribution.
While 3.8% of the cases may fall within your age group, there is no evidence that 15.5% of the cases within that age group were indeed white. 15.5% of ALL cases were white, but not necessarily within that age group. 45% of ALL cases were male, but not those that were within that age group and race. 
It was fun to watch, though.....

Well Mom i think it was very decent and then some of you to even consider being a math major. Heck after 3 different classes of stats (business, economy engineering & tech) in 2 semesters i swore off math......
