We look at the news and see as an example Mrs Spitzer,s photograph standing with her husband in public as he tries to explain why he was boinking prostitutes. What is this woman thinking about as she stands there in the public view ?

That it's going to cost a whole lot more to make her go away than he paid to make the hookers do the same thing?

She's a political wife. It's part of the deal. Why would you think political marriages are in any way "normal" or even remotely based on "love"?

Well she has to support the father of her children. Now in private I am sure it's different.

Give her a couple years and she might be gone.
I personally think she knew what was going on.

She's thinking about humiliation. And having to endure it in the public eye.

Good riddance Gov. Spitzer. We New Yorkers have had to put up with his intolerable BS for the longest time. If I was her, I would have refused to appear in public with him after ruining their marriage.

Political wife or not, I would not have been there.... So really, what is she thinking?? Well she is not going to express her anger infront of the cameras, its not a Jerry Springer episode.
My heart goes out to her,I understand this is not a one time deal for him, but a pattern that has been going on atleast 2 to 3 years.
This has to be very hard for her,if she would have chose to not show up for his press conferences,I would have totally understood.

How many people were looking at her, rather than him, during all the news clips?
He's pathetic- - and not only did he hurt the mother of his children, he hurt three daughters.

Well she is not going to express her anger infront of the cameras, its not a Jerry Springer episode Hmm, This is the real deal my friend not some stupid T.V show . It amazes me how women put up with this kind of public humiliation and stand by "their man" .It makes no matter what walk of life they come from she should not be there. The photographs captivate that in her face this politically correct nonsense has to stop and show the guilty party as they are !

It's not. She's showing emotional intelligence and strength. She needs to do what she needs to do, for now. And as the wife of a (sad) figurehead, to behave badly on top of his bad behavior would serve no purpose. Her time will come, and it won't have to be a public display to be satisfying.

Maybe she's going to run for senate in NY. And then for president. That would be in keeping with the trend.

For all of those who are here with the idea of dating and moving towards marriage. This woman stuck by her husband's side through this rough period. Now how they settle things between the two of them is another story. But she did the right thing. Now for all of you who say she shouldnt have been by side, no nothing about commitment. When she married that man she took vows. For better or for worse means just that. I am not saying that she should stay with him. But those are matters left up to the two of them privately. Publicly she did what she should have.
This is a good exercise in if you are marriage worthy or not. By many of the responses here I say not.
