So, I'm just wondering, what is the "success" rate on Internet first meetings?
We've all heard the horror stories of meeting (or just viewing) and running for the hills. All funny in retrospect, but those have been covered in other threads. I'm interested in:
Have you met on the first meeting and hit it off?
Did it end with kiss good night, and agree to meet again?
Or, did you have sex?
What about a second meeting? Was there second one?
How was that different?

I have had a few "first" meetings. Only 2 turned into second meetings, but none of them lasted. I guess I pick jerks

I've been asked out again. Dated someone for a couple of months. Dated a guy i met from newsad for 3 years. Had a few marriage proposals. Most guys i have met i liked. A few i didn't think we had much in common in many areas. Some were far away. Had sex eventually with one or two. Friendly rel.

Oh we had 4 meetings. After 5 different plane flights, and phone bills that are still being paid off too. 
Oh and lets not forget the internet,,,,,,

Good one, Mango.
I have gone out on just a few, and not for a long time. The first, lied to me about his age. Said he was 49. He was 61. We had a nice picnic, and he made the food himself.
He could have put on my friend's list, but when a person lies to me, they have lost my trust. I sent him an email, stating such.
The other two men were very sweet, but not my types. I'm always polite though, and I make the most of the encounter. I wouldn't want someone to treat me rudely, if they weren't attracted to me.

Past experiences have proven......75% great first "date" yes, there shall be seconds.....thirds etc. Kisses and more....75% first "date," 15% first "date" a good night kiss on the cheek and out the door of Perkins.....Time to go see plan "B." 10% first "date" after a brief conversation the cell rings....damn....I'm on call have to go...bye bye now.  
The more rendezvous time you log with a person the more comfortable you'll become and the better you are able to discover her desires.

in the 10 years I've been playin on the net, I've met several hundred women... All expressed the desire to stay friends no mater how the meeting went....
I've thought I had nice friendly meetings, but I've only heard from one since....
so, I've had zero success, but I do have one friend in 10 years who stuck around

Your stats are better than mine, Grumb. However, I just started this up fresh quite recently, so we shall see how it goes, this time around.
I don't know about you, but I honestly had no desire to date, for a good two years--zilch.
Now I know why I log on as invisible. I decided to try it being visible right now, and I've gotten one lonely serviceman wanting to chat, one 27 year old woman, and a couple of winks from guys w/ no pics.
One of the winks was from some idiot named--uh--what was that again. Oh--Tabbykins!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had quite a few first meetings... lemme see....
1. Met as friends, but didn't stay friends because she was a stuck-up little madam.
2. Dated for about 3 months, but it didn't work out.
3. Disaster, hardly said a word to each other all night.
4. Was a bloke, met as mates.
5. Met after talking for about 3 years, had mind-blowing sex and never saw each again.
6. Kind of dated for a few weeks.
7. Met her quite recently, and has become one of my best friends.
8. Had a few drinks, it went ok, don't think I'll see her again.
9. Met last week and it was really fun, and we're going out on NYE for drinks and some seriously kinky lovin'...

I've had many first meetings..some with those sparks flying..others...where we ended up just being good friends..and go out once ina while..
I've known people who have met and married from this particular site..so I'm hopefull..lol
lol my only "horror" story of a first meeting..is when we met at a local pub for burger and beers..then a few hours later he called me to see if I wanted to go to the Windsor Casino..we went..upon return..he decided to tell me how he and his ex wife "did it" on the first date..I told him I wasn't his ex..lol he preceded to whip it out..right there in the Burger King parking lot..where my car was parked..thinking I'd give him a little "something to remember me by" I believe was how he put it..I just reminded him again that I wasn't his ex..and got out of the car..
The best story I have..is one where I met the guy face to face...we ended up living together for 3 years..things in the relationship changed..that had nothign to do with the online aspect..so we're not together anymore...but his faults aren't the faults of all men..just his..
Most second meetings I've had have been great..still nothing special..but I"ve made many great friends..that I love hanging out with..

I have met 4 guys off the internet, 3 of them from this site. I guess it went well with all of them, I saw them all at least twice, some of them ended up being jerks but the actual first date went well with every one of them, the last guy i met off of here we have a 3rd date set up...so far so good
