I, personally, have no interest in dating a married or involved man. My guess would be that those sites are for women (or men) who don't respect marriage vows or themselves very much.
Edited to add: And I think some men are willing to 'date' married women because there is no chance she can force them into a commitment they don't want.

Yep, Danger...that's it...the excitement. They want to "have fun" and go home to the person that may work as hard as they, keep house, raise kids, press his pants.
Sick.

Not a site I'd even consider looking at. And if I get a wink or email from a married man I just delete it. Nothing in my profile says I'm looking for someone already in a committed relationship.

I am single and have been since 1999! Now I will not date someone who is married and don’t care what she has thrown towards my way! I will not do that to another man because I know how it feels and the pain endured in having an unfaithful wife. I have said no to more than a few propositions while being in the military and now being single parent.

Don't do it to someone else's husband or wife, unless you are willing to have it done to you! Here's a new concept............ "you reap what you sow" or "what goes around...comes around"

Okay...how do you know?.......
Actually, this wouldn't even be a topic of conversation if EVERYBODY dated married people....that is....
if everybody, once they got married, simply remembered to CONTINUE DATING EACH OTHER!

And if I get a wink or email from a married man I just delete it. And that's probably what I should do SignMe. What I actually do if I get an email from a married man looking for a "discreet relationship" is to give him a right good telling off!!
I suppose my reasoning is that 1. I somehow still feel I should reply to all emails (but not all winks) 2. Being told his behaviour stinks might be a bit harder for a man to ignore than my simply deleting his email!
But I wonder if it actually makes any difference. And, if it doesn't, maybe I shouldn't waste my energy on it ...

I'm too lazy to go dig out my saved copy of a great come-back comment posted somewhere here at MD a long time ago about this very subject, but it was along the lines of, "If your wife doesn't want...you, why should I?"
Which is the flip-side to, "If you don't respect your Self, why should anyone else?"
While it's impossible to legislate morality, a part of me finds the trend stated by the OP to be a disturbing one. It speaks volumes about how far we've come as a society from our Puritanical roots (not that there's much to be said for them, either; extreme of any kind isn't healthy). This isn't so much a condemnation of "open marriage" (that's a whole 'nother discussion) but a reflection of society's increasing acceptance of the lack of honor, loyalty, and personal responsibility towards one's stated commitments.
Sad. And scary.
