Questions are NEVER a good way to know the person . Isn't it common courtesy to provide information about yourself prior to requiring it from the others ?

I actually thought what Silver said to Spring and I was funny and almost replied differently until I realized my reply probably wouldn't be very PC. Hence, I just stuck with "I don't do windows". Seriously, I don't. Anyone wanna donate their time to my dirty window cause? I'll cook dinner!

CAPITAL......what kind of information?
I always like to ask questions of the other person......cuz I think its a nice way of showing interest in the other person. Mind you.......I dont get into deeply personal or private questions.......just general sort'v questions re their life.....like *what stage of your life are you in at the moment*......feel it gives them an opening to say what they want......and if they dont want to say.....well that is ok also. Thats just me tho.

the biggest point was... you were not acting like dorks.. but was having fun with it... and sliver decided that he did not like it.. so he ....  attacked...

you inserted yourself looking for attention i guess. Just reading, like anyone else, and saw that. Same as you respond, I did.I found your comment without humor, and said so.You don't know me-don't assume...
No catfight...but thank you Spring and Pali for your friendship. I'm glad your children are all healthy. This is done now-and thanks to the great people that sent me kind emails.

One thing that is very important when you are dating is seeing how someone treats children, elderly and service people.

And how they treat animals. Kids, elderly and animals. Those are the ones with the fewest defenses against bullying.
I don't know what good questions are. I think I know someone and then months later find out I never did.

SIGN......think we have all been through that a few times..........LOL. Think its all in the finding out....and getting to know someone. Some can strike it lucky the first or second time round.....others need to have a few more tries.....LOL
I tend to stick with the family oriented men.....who have a good relationship with their kids and families and dont hate their ex wives. That is a good sign for me.

Pali and I weren't offended and didn't take it as an attack ll.....really we didn't. it is somewhat of a personal joke......intended for fun....and that's all there was to it.
nothing more.......trust me..if it was an attack.... I would have spoke my peice! All I'd have to do is put my hand on my hip and roll my eyes...and let it rip....
Loreli...yes I am grateful for having healthy children.....but I also know life is short and we must choose our wars accordingly........I have learned that laughing takes less energy than frowining......and I would rather laugh in this journey called life... ..and if I can help someone else turn the corners on their mouth up too...so be it...

SIGN.......yep thats so true. Maybe the truth is.....that we dont get around enough...LOL. On the other hand......I look at many of my friends husbands.....and if the husbands were single.....I wouldnt want any one of them. They dont appeal to me one bit.....even as people...lol. I probably wouldnt appeal to them either.....and thats OK....I wll live through it.......lol

Marylou there are a few husbands of friends that I do like and wouldn't mind if they were single! But they are not so I must find someone of my own. And that's the hard part. I'm isolated out in the country between 2 tiny tiny towns. Not much social interaction around here. I spend 12 hours a day gone from home, not all of it at work but probably 10 hours there. So where's the time to meet someone? If I met them, I'd ask simple questions at first, kind of movies you like, music, things you like to do on week ends, etc. Time enough for the tough personal questions later.(If there is a later)

SIGN........I understand your situation. I live only 15 mins from the city where all the clubs and nightlife are. I have been in many singles clubs....and for 5 yrs....but noiw that I am older.......it is not my scene......it really never was then either.....but I made some nice lady friends there. But none of the men I wanted to keep....LOL. I dont have the time now to go out and about meeting by the megadozen like I once did. I am busy with students during the day. And am too pooped to go out at night.....spending money willy nilly in the hopes that I might meet someone. It is much easier on the net.........specially if you live in the country. Think this is your best option really. Think men off the net can be nicer on the whole than many you meet in real life........that has been my past experience anyway...I cant speak for others.....but I have found it to be so.
I am taking a long break......but maybe next year I will start meeting people again in my city...on the Aussie sites. But dont feel up to it at the moment. Only ended a r/ship 6/7 mths ago..........so need the break to get some energy back...LOL

Silver was not attacking us. He's a friend of mine so I took it as the joke was intended. I, too, have a daughter with a disability. There have been many times I have bitten my tongue over comments that were relevant to her case, but since those comments weren't directed at her, I ignored them.
Lori, I love ya, my friend. Maybe because I have been in healthcare for so long that I have grown a thicker skin.
