That...and men with slightly longer than normal nails who t...a...p.
Not only is it offensive, but more than slightly repulsive as well. I don't know why, but it makes my thighs clamp together.

This one is sort of a general one, but applies to dating as well.
"Dude"
Once in awhile I don't mind or notice, but the word shouldn't be in every sentence. I was over at a friends house. Their 12 year old daughter had a friend over, to listen to them talk just about pushed me over the edge. (As Tilly said, way to many "likes" in there as well.)
"....and then she said....& I was like dude.....she said dude you gotta like......& I said dude that's like........"
Then they started talking to me like that....dude, dude, dude......
At which point I said, "My name is not dude. You can call me "Person who will make my life a living hell if I ever use the "D" word again!"

bro !! in Miami , more than anywhere I have ever been they say bro ... a lot ...
they use bro everywhere I dont mind it ... but every part of the country says bro differently its funny
but miami ... every other word is bro its like a disease !!!!

I agree that they are magnificant objects, and they can do many wonderous things. But chatting you up is not one of them.
