I received a message from a man the other day who said~
"blondes are demanding... gold diggers" "Blonds are stoopid!"
While I doubt that he can spell stereotype it did make me wonder if some men really still do think this way?

PS~ Yes I know celebrities like Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson are not helping the blond cause!  Even though I suspect neither is natural. You just can't compare the drapes to the carpet anymore.

Carpet is a rarity these days.....in any color.
Seems that more people prefer the feel of linoleum (I cant spell either). haha

Sometimes I feel that blonds are preferred, even if the stereotype is that they're dumb. When everyone thinks of the "American girl" they think of a blond. Sex symbols are blond. WWE Divas are blond.
What makes blond so much better than brunette? I've been struggling with it since I was about ten. Are blonds really that much prettier or better than us?

Not all guys prefer blondes, infact most of my friends say they like brunettes better, including me  . That's not to say, I don't find blondes pretty. However, my ideal woman would be brunette with olive skin.

When everyone thinks of the "American girl" they think of a blond. No they don't .... everyone is not that ignorant 
We can see America has Hispanic, Latino, Black & Asian women
I for one have never ever dated a blonde man , only because I am not attracted to fair hair and fair skinned men ..... sorry Sweden looks like you missed out...
So much labeling & stereotyping in these very blogs and forums
They would have you believe , if a person belongs to a certain group ... their opinion is not believable or cannot be correct ..... So if you are !" Liberal " or " Blonde " or " Dyslexic "... then you should not be listened to ..
Stereotyping is a form of prejudice and is also the root of discrimination. A stereotype usually applies to a whole group of people who do something in a certain way.
The problem with that is that you are making a judgement of their personality without actually knowing what they are like.
Sounds like the poor man who wrote to you Willowy .... would be eaten alive by women as sharp & smart as us

OK, first of all, duh. Sorry to put it bluntly, but I don't think anyone doubts that.
Second of all...there is an image of the "All-American girl" that maybe you don't know about as you're not from America, but we have it. The "All-American girl-next-door"? She's usually depicted as blond. I've always wondered why.

Ok well that has a different meaning than the first post .... So Americans think of All-American as blonde  even if they are Black/ Asian / Hispanic ? The post did not say it was addressed at Americans thinking incorrectly about themselves ... yes that is indeed , if true weird

Yes. The image of the "All-American" has always been a blond girl. Even in WWE, they have their resident "All American girl, Michelle McDrool (oops, McCool.Sorry, I hate her with every fiber of my being and want her to drop off the face of the planet)
