Do you think everyone makes forum posts which, they believe, will attract someone to them?
My opinion? I think the ones who do this are easy to spot. Always praising someone, always agreeing, always trying to say what they think their target group will find appealing. I think its vomitous. Comically vomitous, but vomitous nonetheless.
Have a mind of your own. Speak your mind freely, and let the chips fall where they may. You might be able to cram your square peg into someones round hole someday, but is that really where you want to be?

Me? I dont have a target group. Look at my profile and tell me who I am trying to attract. I was referring to those who are seeking something here.

lj450...........I agree with you with the sickening part. I feel a bit the same way. You can be nice to someone....show affection in a warm friendly way.......but when the palava of nicety is there evrey day.....and you hear the same thing day in and day out......it just doelsnt seem normal to me. People in the real world dont behave that way. Many are loving ....caring people......but over the top *sucking up* ....day after day......just doesnt seem right to me.
People are on here to have fun.....and its great....nothing wrong with that. Fooling around....is lighthearted.......but full on...overwhelming....praise/niceties day after day ......and never ending......seems really unusual to me. I feel many people are supersensitive.....and maybe they feel they need this....to feel good about themselves......I dont know. I dont know what to make of it myself.......so if you find out....let me know...LOL LOL LOL

I don't think so. Try being on here any length of time. It's like walking through a minefield of dogs#*t. Sooner or later, you're going to pss someone off. Make an enemy. If you're being at all yourself, it will happen. No way around it.

Exactly.
I wonder if there are people "out there" who do not recognize this behavior and look at these profiles (people?) as the answer to their prayers....the perfect potential mate?
Does that level of gullibility exist?

PAMME......I agree with you. It doesnt matter which way you go......you get critisized......no matter how friendly and nice you try to be. Everyone is and individual......and each personality is so different. Is hard to get used to the type of personality you have never struck before. I dont know why people want to even want to get peed off......unless someone is definately on the attack.....in a serious way. When I say something.....I always write the *LOL* at the end of it.....sos that people know I am just joking. But even for that I get critisized.......so what in the hell do you do....LOL. If someone says something that is upsetting you or you dont like it. What is the harm in sending them a message to tell them......in a nice way. Anyone could do that. And if that happened.......then you would know that they didnt like your remarks......and you could ease up.....or leave them alone or such. I just cant see why people have to be just PLAIN NASTY!
