I wouldn't say she is a bad friend. I will say that she was dead wrong for putting you in that position. I will also say that she probably took the friendship for granted at the time, if she is a reasonable person and a true friend, she may have realized that by now.
Try calling her up and letting her know exactly where you stand, let her know as a friend to both of them, you don't want to standby and watch either of them do something so hurtful to the other. You also don't want to be made to choose sides.
Explain to her you would never place her in such a position.
Friends go through things like this all the time, you don't have to stop being friends. Just set the boundaries.
If the hubby keeps pressing, just tell him he needs to talk to his wife. Tell him that as a friend to both of them, you can't get in the middle of it because you can't choose sides. You value your friendship with each of them equally.
