I saw this online, an excerpt from a book on what love really is. I know, alot of us thought it was that spark, that chemistry thing, this will open your eyes to what it truly is. I thought it was a good insightful read so thought I would share it with everyone. Perhaps it will help someone find their true love.

While there are very good points in the article, I have to disagree on one point.
If you can love anyone, and easily, that could be a recipe for disaster.
I agree we should focus on the good, but if we ignore the bad, it could bite us in the butt.

Love is...
...finding another way, when this one doesn't work.
With an open mind, we can love anyone. That's not always a good thing, atleast not romantically.

This article is very interesting. And it quoted Erich Fromm! I have not read his stuff since the 70s. You don't hear him quoted very often anymore. He did have some brilliant things to say on the subject of men and women and love.
I agree with the basis of the article. Love is very much about appreciating the goodness in someone else. Although I have felt that, I never really though about it that way.
In my most recent relationship, I often felt that I loved her because she was such a good person and appreciated her kind and unselfish heart. This was undoubetedly an important part of what constituted my love for her.
Thanks for sharing that article.

Well, it is some average article! Good to some perhaps if you are a pack animal like a southern lion or a wolf. There seem to be too few of true experts these days anyway. No but seriously I don't believe we can love anyone we wish because it would go for schizofrenia for me. Monism is foolishness unlike dualism but let the nature decide  !
Does the brown bears or black bears ever travel to the south? I have heard that polar bears and grizzlies do mix in the wild whereby fertile offspring occur, so why not between brown bears and black bears? They may be lazy but they don't go mixing at and disturbing the south unlike we humans. We on the northern hemisphere should be more gratiful toward our origin, toward the harsh but great wholeness which once formed us. We don't belong to south but north is a fact. When it comes to bears is for sure and we aren't that different .
Fir trees, spruces, cherry trees and so on  .
