Moonwalk, I didn't see the movie "Sex and the City" but I think, from watching the HBO series, that the whole premise of the movie was Carrie and Big were finally married. Right? Big was a player, of course Carrie was too. That was the whole enchelada of the series. Singles sex. When Carrie first met Big, she wanted it to be love. He was not interested in love. Big was married. Carrie loved him, and they cheated his wife. Carrie was remorseful. Time marched on. They were all getting older, making changes, Carrie went to Paris with a new lover, where she was miserable, Big rescued her. They live happily after, etc. etc. etc. This was a big, fashionably dressed, chic fairy tale, some of us enjoyed it very much. Some of us identified with at least one of the four characters of the series. One of the main things I took from the series was Aidan (spelling?) shouting to Carrie "you broke my heart!" I identified with him, more than any of the four main characters of the series. Watch the series, Moon, and keep in mind that it was a fashion, glitzy, daring (as far as on-screen sex scenes) series. The outrageous and heretofore unparalleled sex on-screen, was the only reason I watched in the first place. But I did enjoy it, guess you would too, huh?

The message of Sex and the City is this.....
Men have been whores for thousands of years, and now it is time to celebrate the whorish woman.

Sex and the City was supposed to be a comedy/ drama... people took it to a new level as some kind of social iconic lifestyle. I didn't learn much from it........... it's no more than a soap opera.
The characters were as real as some people can be... mostly people you'd want to get away from, including the 4 women, who were basically just into themselves.
I recently saw the movie sex and the city... samantha goes back to whoring and being single, miranda goes back with steve after his affair, carrie marries mr big, almost ( thats for you to find out) and Charlette stays married and has her own baby. Its all soap opera.......... funny....... addicting to peer into made up lives........
but just a show.

You mean that movie had a plot and a meaning? I just thought it was a 2 hour commercial for shoes and clothes. We all knew they would get married

I didn't care for the movie. The only good thing was that Charlotte got pregnant. Carrie's new closet was fabulous, though.

I don't know...the scenes of Kim Catrell's neighbor naked in the shower kind of made the movie more interesting to me
