I always wondered how do people manage to get both license and certificate the very same day in Vegas . Or maybe those marriages don't require any license, blood tests , etc? Does anyone have an experience with it?

In Nevada, you have to get a license from the county (which you can get the same day sometimes from the chapel itself), no blood tests if you're living together...that it!!! As long as you've got some money, you can get married!!!

You don't have to prove anything....just tell them you are...in fact, when my sister and brother-in-law got married, they told them to say they lived together (which they didn't)

That's incredibly cool, I love success stories! Even better when they include Elvis.

Is there actually a state left in which you have to have blood tests?

Oh yeah, everyone's related. My fourth cousin married who my best friend's sister who's my 2nd cousin by marriage...it all got soo confusing. I would go to my family reunion on my momma's side and say, this is not a family, it's a clan.

I lived in OK for 3 years...small town...everyone was "kin" or married to "kin"... when I met anyone new, the first thing they would ask is who I was kin to...lol Many of my patients were definite products of cousins marrying!!!
