I must have seen a million womens‘ profiles that say something like:
"I am looking for an honest man."
Jeeeeez! Isn't that a bit of a hopeless mission?
I mean if Diogenes couldn't find one, what makes you think you can?
These profiles are so common that It leaves you with the impression that no man can be honest enough for any woman.
I think I am about as honest as mortal man is capable of being. But hell, I’m no saint! What do women expect from a poor guy?
Need I walk around with probes on my chest attached to a lie detector?
Or perhaps I should take an hourly dose of sodium pentothal?
Or how about I put bamboo shoots under my fingernails and you light them while you ask me things like “have you cheated on me?”
GEEZ ladies! If you have had so many problems with honesty in the guy you are with, maybe you need to look at what YOU have to do with the problem.
Is there ANYBODY that wants a DISHONEST partner? Need it even be said?
And if a guy IS dishonest, well, think about it. Is he gonna tell you, or avoid your profile because you are only looking for an honest one?

I learned from my marriage that apparently you have to spell out all the rules...like when you say "I do" that implies that you will stop dating...ok, I thought it did!!! Perhaps if we don't write honesty...they will think dishonesty is ok...lol
Off to check my profile!!! Nope...doesn't say honest...perhaps I'll add it

I was told once by a player that he scoured profiles for the 'seeking an honest man" phrase for his next victim. He considered it a challenge.

I take issue with that "line" as well.
And there's another one I find troublesome...
When some posts that they are attractive or good looking or handsome...or well, whatever, you get the picture. But hey, isn't that up for me to decide?

What is the deal with saying that you are attractive?
If you have a picture, someone can see for themselves what you look like and decide for themselves if you are attractive.
To me it says that the person has a sensitive ego and has to reinforce their own appraisal of their attractiveness to try to ward off any thoughts (or comments) to the contrary.
But being an extremely attractive guy I can only see it from my own perspective. So that’s just my opinion.
