I had been to confused as to why I see the same women online across various site members for maybe yrs and never appearing to change there status.
i am a logical thinker. When I see person a looking for person type b and there are 100's of person b and showing interest and person a sill online It boggles my mind. even if view in all posible angles in fine detail. It just didnt make since.
Well I got an interesting email that was honest and it suggested that getting the attention is addicting and that what ad says may or may not be completely inaccurate but that its the attention that they get is what is appealing.. That fact that you can have hundreds of people wanting you. Maybe some do not want to give that up its just too excitiing even if some are not the best..

yup I am an attention whore... guess why I have been here for 8 years and on other sites over the years and now.. oops. you were talking about women..
well they have standards and don't just jump after every tom, dick and harry who comes along unlike me

Hold on, I think I left my standards in with my winter clothes, I should probably take those out, air 'em out a little.
I have not been to other dating sites, so this is a whole new experience...frankly I got interested in the forums...I think my post count speaks for itself. Oh, that and I talk too much.  If I meet a man along the way...awesome.
LOL and of course it's uplifting to have all these men who say I am absolutely beautiful...but again, I can't believe everything I read. 
Oops, my mail box light is blinking...I'm sure it's yet another telling me how gorgeous I am and that he can't live without me, gotta run!

LOL of course...my mailbox was blinking due to a guy from Italy...sigh, how come the men who can't live without me must live on the other side of the world? Funny, they seem to be surviving without me just fine...

No this would be for guys too.. I'm not much for the format they have on dating sites..
But i guess i have some semi minor popularity on a myspace style sites.. Its really quite funny to me and entertaining it's own way...
Most real people who contact me I would never meet because the come across as very insincere.
VERY FEW have ever got me because i play down so much of who I am.. to me its fun to listen to what people think they know about me and who I am.. i have heard it all...

I don't think internet dating is addictive...I do think the internet, itself is. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I didn't get online and do SOMETHING!!! maybe that's why I've been in college online for so damned long!!!
As for online dating...I have met lots of people, mostly toads!!! It's difficult to find a "normal" person online or in person!!!

I dunno if internet dating is addictive, but no doubt that alot of things online are..chatting is one I have been guilty of. I have been on a few sights, think I have active profiles on 2 right now, MD I mainly use for the forums, doesnt seem to be alot of guys in my area but then there is the other site I use where there are tons of local guys but I am too "thrifty" to pay for the subscription...sighs..oh well I guess I'm not addicted to internet dating :)
