Mine's been short since I was in my 30s. I just don't have time in the morning to mess with it and absolutely no time at all during the day to even touch it! So short works for me.

I went from waist length hair in high school, to less then shoulder length in the Navy (just easier all around) to letting it grow out over the years of my marriage. Cut it shorter (about mid back) ahd kept it there a long time. Now it can grow to whatever length it wants. Easier to care for longer, as it is easier to put up when it is hot, and nice when the weather starts to cool off, bit of an extra layer of warmth.

My hair has always been long.. but I do notice that some women do opt for the shorter as they age...  maybe its easier for them to take care of my mom had hair that she could pull up btwn her legs from the back... and when I was about 14 or so she had my bro in law cut it .. I about died... beautiful auburn hair three foot long braid  but it was much easier for her to take care of she kept it short (shoulder length or shorter ) from then on. Me... doubt ill ever get more than a trim ..Mac says he loves my long hair and well I got a ton of it..  yeah its got a bit of gray (racing stripes  or bride of frankenstein  ) but that is easily taken care of every three months or so  ... right now its to my jeans waistband long  its been longer but silly me twice I have let a salon *perm* it for me  never again at a salon  .. My mom could perm my hair beautifully and not once did it loose its length or break off both times I got it done professionally it broke off about 4-6 inches  .. Im not much on DOING stuff with my hair I dont use a blow dryer a trim every couple months or so from my sister and im good to go .. anyone that knows me knows me knows i just shower and go and let the wind dry it when I do get a wild hair up my but I use them steam hot curlers but then my hair is HUGE and fluffy best thing about long hair?? hair tents

Becky your hair is gorgeous! My hair long is a disaster. So it's better kept short. I keep thinking maybe I should get a few long hair wigs just for fun. What do you think?

Sign my sister has her hair longer now and she is a bit older than me she had it short for a long time and has tons of long wigs ... but now she keeps it longer *just above the brastrap* and tosses it up she does look younger with it longer I must say ... she also went um BLONDE for the first time ever .. she was usually a brunette or redhead I wore a really long wig for halloween.. a lady godiva blonde jobby OMG to the floor but I ratted it up and was a ghoul hahah the pics are skeery

LOL My hair color has turned silvery so that's a plus. But it grows out kinda funny. It stays shorter in the back and gets longer on the sides. I just don't have time to mess with long hair. But will think about a wig or 2, just to have some fun with it.

Personally, long hair is easier for me.
My hair grows fast so a short style would keep me going back to the salon too often.
Pony tail or up in a clip when it's too warm ... or when I'm being a nurse ...
For me, it has nothing to do with age.
I have never let those dates on my passport dictate how I act, dress, wear my hair, etc.
And if someone else has an opinion on my way of life & style ... Well, you know what they say about *opinions* ...

I have come to terms with the length of my hair and what i like....
I keep it around shoulder length and mess it up!! That is the way to go for me
