i know as a young girl growing up i always had really long hair. In high school, long hair. As soon as I had a child and was working and going to school...long hair got to be too much to maintain so it kept getting short. the last actual hair cut, aside from a trim was up to my chin. Its easier, and i can still toss it up into a pony tail when needed. I dont think it has as much to do with age as it doesnt a complex busy life style ect...not to mention hair texture changing over time.

Actually I find long hair to be more low maitenence than short. I don't have to fool with "styling" it if I'm pressed for time. On work days I comb it back in a bun at the nape of my neck straight from the shower. Less than 5 minutes and I'm good to go

I totally agree Muse....now I have short hair I need to do 'stuff' with it. Also I have to use a lot more product to keep it looking good. When it was long all I had to do was wash, condition and dry. Too easy!
I'm gonna grow it again...I've convinced myself.

My hair is to the small of my back. I love it and am never cutting it I'm gonna grow it again...I've convinced myself.
Not that it matters, but I heartily approve!
Wait... you aren't taking about the short dark curly ones, are you?

I've noticed this too, and I don't care for short hair either. I'm talking about the extremely short pixie cut. I've seen a few women who could pull it off, but not many.
I love long, curly hair though.

I'll never cut my hair again. I haven't even had it trimmed since July. I love long hair. My Sociology professor last year had this beautiful long grey hair...I want that.
