I have very long hair and im in my mid 50's....(pic in profile)
Eat alot of veggies.....and use good conditioners..Not that wal mart stuff..
I use Peratin...The purple one that builds body and the clear serum one...
Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner as well..
When I get in the shower..i put the paul mitchell conditioner on my dry ends so that the hair will soak in the conditioner..
Then I wash...twice..then rinse and condition again..
When done...before I hit the hair dryer..I put the purple stuff, about dimes worth and two drops of serum...and I put that only into the ends of my hair..
Blondes may be able to put on roots too..but not me..it will get too oily..
For roots and hair at eaf level..I used root builder and curl enhancers...
Be sure that when you comb your hair..that you do not comb the 'oiled ends' and then comb the roots...unless you have very dry or perhaps very curly hair..
For straight hair...it will make it flat...lol

Some of this is good for mens hair as well..
The serum will make your chest hair soft...

Mine would only get cut if it was for something like Locks of Love, and then I'd just get it shaved totally.

My hair is right about chin length. I've found as I grow older, it does better a little shorter although I won't go any shorter than it is right now.
It is also the color I was born with......with a little help from the sun as I bleach out some in the summer. I am lucky that the golden high lights help hide the gray. When that stops working, I will have to seek professional help. I may get older, but I choose not to look older. Good genes help too.

I finally had my growing out...
a girl at work had long hair and developed neck pain and migraines. After months of tests, they attributed it to the weight of her hair.
So, just be careful.
Plus, some people think they look good with long hair...and many others think they need a flattering cut

I've had problem hair since I was born. Curls in wrong places, sticks out, etc. It's been short for over 30 years and will stay that way. However, the color is my own. Instead of gray, I'm getting silver.

By that time of a woman's life she has already got everything that she could want from a man....... Her extravagant white wedding with a huge diamond ring, a house with all of the furnishings she would ever desire when it comes time to the divorce proceedings, his sperm donations to give her the 2.5 kids to make her life complete and future child support payments. The husband's flexibilty to her schedual so that she could work toward her independence of him.
Basically she just has to look pretty enough for a certain amount of years until she is either ready to dump the hubby or stop cooking for him and having sex with him (especially the BJ's). Then it is off with her hair and on with her freedom.
I don't like the looks of that really tightly packed brillo head look..... yuk.
Some women cut it all off and just wear a wig.
Growing whiskers to pluck seems to be more popular hobby with them than growing long feminine looking hair. >>>> pluck, pluck, pluck.

I wasn't talking about you sign, I was referring to one of my b!tchy former female supervisors just before she retired. But I've known many other women like that too.
