If you invite a date over to watch a movie, which one would you watch?

For the typical girl, I would choose Summer of '42, Pearl Harbor or An Officer and a Gentleman or Cast Away.

If she has intellectual leanings, we would watch 2001: A Space Odyssey. Discussing the movie and it's message/implications afterwards would make for great conversation.

For me it depends on where in my life I can see her. If she is Fantazmagoric then "The Notebook" will be the viewing choice. IF she is just a hit and run, then she gets treated like McDonalds and the dollar menu comes to mind. (ie: army of darkness, the original National Lampoons vacation, creep show, any jump on me for cheap thrills horror flick.)

I love the movies Pearl Harbor AND the Notebook.
I'd toss in Blazing Saddles and Billy Jack and Air Force One

"I love the movies Pearl Harbor"

I went to the theater to see Pearl Harbor with a date. She was on my left and some woman I did not know was on my right. Both of them ended up sobbing uncontrollably and I did not know if I should try to comfort the one I did not know or not. Probably not.

Hmm...I prefer documentaries because I am a nerd but not too many men want to watch a movie about the plight of this and that and so on...

I've never seen The Notebook or Pearl Harbour.

...What about the new Lost Boys movie...That way he can comfort me when I cry at the hideous mess my beloved childhood crush Corey Haim has become. Bad Corey...Just Bad!

I'd watch the movie, but I'd probably take a few peeks at the date.
