What's with these profile selections for weight?

What is the difference between "a few extra pounds", curvy, Big and Beautiful, full-figured, heavyset and stocky?
Sounds like choices at a butcher shop--"I'll take it stocky with a few extra pounds."

Pa-leez. Do guys know full-figured from curvy? Do they care?
Guys may be visual, but they're not morons. Simple poundage would suffice.

Men state their height and weight ( ok, maybe they lie sometimes), and I think women should be as forthcoming.

If it's that important, let the other person do the math. What would be the point of not telling the truth?

I was looking for a 'chubby' box, but I couldn't find one.

i applaud your forthright attitude - that's very refreshing.

even for people that list weight, we as viewer's of someone's profile have to remember that different people carry weight in different ways - i know we all know that anyhow though.

overall, i'd prefer more information to less - and then it's up to me to make a determination based on any number of factors, pretty, weight, personality, things in common, intelligence - etc...

Ok, you guys, come out of hiding.. Women have been the victims of this labelling far too long.

Would you mind being called porterhouse? Bisonic? Gymopenic? Amuscular?

BTW, I don't think Big and Beautiful are synonyms.
Who put these words together? See me after school

Why !
So we can get our heads shot off , ( the thinking one ) !

The full figured thing always got me, I always thought of full figured as , oh something along the lines of Marilyn Monroe.
However i have been informed there are wide variations of that classification.

See,

It does get confusing, because I would see Marilyn Monroe as 'curvy'.

It's all in the eye of the beholder.

I can see the guys saying "I don't want to go there".
(DANGER, Will Robinson!!)

So I have taken it upon myself to define these adiposity descriptors, in an attempt to keep you from making 'Big' mistakes. Get it?--Big mistakes? (I crack me up)
so pay attention :
Big and Beautiful: This term is disqualified, as beautiful is not an adjective associated with weight description
Few extra pounds- describes the normal american woman; about 10-15 lbs overweight.
Curvy- describes a heavier woman with a waist, and possibly bodacious tatas.
Full-figured- well proportioned fat with no discernable waistline and few curves. Plump and fluffy.
stocky- implies a masculine distribution of weight; flat butt, large shoulders
Print this, and refer to it often, lest you end up with a curvette, and not the chub you were looking for.

I have to see that the weight thing on here for ladie's has alway's baffled me to.Here is what I mean:

1) Big and Beautuful: thats seem's a bit strange to mean. It's like only big women are beautfiul . Doe's that mean if you are average looking that you are ugly. I would be insulted by this term if I were a lady.

2) a few extra pound's. that can be any where from 5 pound's to 50lb's or whatever. It is a bit general and vague.

I personally don't have to know a ladie's weight. One can get a general idea when they meet the person. I think ladie's should have the option listing their weight. It must just be the nature of dating sight's.

Weigh is something that I would never discuss, but one can tell if a man or lady isn't truthful about it. So it make's more sense to just be honest about it.

Want,

I think I'll take some of whatever it is you're smoking. You are making me laugh too hard.

Jeff,

I knew I liked you. Your few extra pounds is more to my liking.

Waiting....

I, for one, have absolutely no interest in your weight. Doesn't matter to me a bit. But I'd be glad to tie you up, spank you, and call you names....geez....I'm gettin' REAL excited just thinkin' about it!!!!

Big AND Beautiful - sometimes, sometimes not...
Full-figured AND Foxy - sometimes, sometimes not...
Curvy AND Cute - sometimes, sometimes not...
Petite AND Pretty - sometimes, sometimes not...

This is all giving me a headache. You're right - beauty IS in the eye of the beerholder!!!!
