I got to talking to this gal online who seemed pretty cool. Nice looking, good profile. I talk to her for a few days and it is going good, then she gets increasingly self-absorbed in her conversation, finally tells me that she was molested by her father as a toddler. From that moment on, her only subject of conversation every time we talk is stuff like how she can never trust men anymore because her ex did blah blah blah,,,her poor self image resulting from when her other ex did blah blah blah,,,her fear of this, her inability to do that because of yet another ex, ad infinitum. It is endless. I switched it off.
Ok, before any of you people explode on me for being insensitive. I care as much about the troubles of unfortunates as the next guy, but, these are problems she should resolve one way or another BEFORE she gets online looking for dates. I do not know about the rest of you, but I am here to get to know someone for a possible relationship, NOT to be someone's psychiatrist while they blather ceaselessly about their soap opera issues. If that makes me an asshole, then I guess I am an asshole, but any person with half a brain should know that they need to get their house in order before they go looking for a relationship. Do the rest of you run into this kind of crap? It seems like I run into it constantly.

Well...now that you ask...When I first began using messenger I met a fella who was looking for a therapist... 
He was having lady problems and was always asking for advice until one day about a month later I came right out and ask him,"What the Hells wrong with me? All you talk about is your girlfriend!"
Well he ask me if I wanted to meet and my response to that was. "HELL NO! I`m your therapist and I don`t mix business with pleasure!" 
We remained friends and eventually after several "Sessions" he won the lady of his dreams heart..
Did I mind? Nope. Did not mind at all..

I think I'm pretty normal...as for adjusted..............well that depends on my bra straps.....damn things.............have to adjust them once in awhile so the girls can sit perkypretty.......had to rephrase that.............think they're beyond perky

me as well met online an old school friend.....who aksed me to help him because he has some troubles with his wife
My support is just a friendly support because I'm married......but he is unable to understand that before looking for new dates he should solve his current problems....

Internet- or life dating comes with the same choices, and different styles of people..talking about problems..if you dont know them well isnt fun..but if you know the person..it takes on a different aura..But It should be about having a great date, and fun !

Yes, what you say is true. Clean up your house, tend to your garden, get things in order, then put yourself out there.
