I do wish you the best of luck. But, maybe it isn't the disability?

Just keep looking. You never know when the right person may just pop up in front of you.

Some people don't look to see what the person is inside...The only care about the outside...A while back I dated a guy who was a steel worker...He had fallen from a building and his leg was messed up. For the rest of his life he will have to use a cane to get around, sometimes crutches. He was awesome though...I didn't even notice it. Good luck with finding someone who sees the real you

I use a cane and when I'm really tired and try to walk, I lurch like a drunken sailor! But hey! The inside me is as good as new, so I just don't worry about it too much. At least, kids and animals love me!

Alan, people have a hard time finding someone, disabilities or not. I am in good physical health and have no one. But, I feel my day will come...perhaps yours will too. Good luck, good cheer, happy holidays to you also.

I was diaognosed by two different doctors and they both came up with the same prognosis...that I'm not right in the head...so I'm on a disability too and after 30 yrs as a captain of industry on the railroad, I don't miss one day of it, womanless or not!

I will tell unlike some of the others its more challenging..
I justify this by the fact that I had dated a woman who was blind. and on a seperate occassion I dated another woman who's twin dated a gentlemen who was deaf.
So I got to see it at that level.
Although the girl I dated was fulling blind but she was fully independant.
but i still faced some challeges. She couldnt drive so i had to pick her up. people stared constantly. At times I would completely forget she was blind but had to be pulled back to reality like when I moved something of hers to another location.
My exfriends sister gave up on her ex because he was too needy...Yes he was deaf but he had her doing things that he could have done himself..
Between both of them there are understandable social issues in trying to fit in..A lot will avoid to much of it or go overboard trying to fit in..
If you havent done so
gain as much independance as posible, Then continue working on inproving your social skills.. That combination will greatly improve your chances.
It was one of the things that impress me about the girl i dated
