Correction , cap : love is free...on the receiving end, but it's hardly free on the giving end, considering that love is AFFECTIONATE CONCERN ABOUT THE OTHER PERSON'S WELL-BEING AND HAPPINESS. Anything less than that might be "free" , but it's hardly "love" ... 
As for sex - again, starting with definition " sex is using of someone's body for MUTUAL physiological SATISFACTION " , in this case no financial compensation implies. Hence - compensation/price/consequences emerge in the case defined as
" using someone's body for one's own satisfaction " . But, then again - this is definition of sexual ABUSE, not sex . It sure "costs" ( money or legal prosecution /divorce attorney's fees/ paternity suits/ etc ) , but it's hardly "sex" ...

if , love is free why is there so many divorces and woman who say they want one thing and then go for somethng completly differant . I live in wisconsin . I was working retail til that went due to the econimy . I took a month off . called the temps and found work with them . so , yes there is jobs out there . they may not be $20 an hour jobs BUT , at least they are out there . some don't even want that .

I dont see how one can put a cost on love..
Few can forget those that said the words...I love you to them but even when its not said...but shown,its priceless.
Every goodbye in person or on the phone between my children and myself always includes those priceless words.
Yes,its become habit but so has its truth.I can remember a day shortly after my son got his drivers license.After visiting me and walking back to his car with two of his buddies along,he turned and said "Love you pops".
He said it to me in front of his two highschool buddies...precious,because that habit was still his authentic truth.
After he left I got to thinking about my dad.I couldnt remember him ever telling me that he loved me but then I couldnt remember a time when I told my dad that I loved him.
My knowing he did and him knowing I did as well without either of us actually saying the words seems even greater then if we had.
Why? Priceless action speaks louder than priceless words.

The most important thing a person who loves someone can say, is I love you.
My sons heard it every day of their lives, and still do.
Every person I meet, when the subject of a good marriage comes up, I tell them the most important things are to say I love you, every day, no matter what.. that and go out, just you and your SO, at least once a month.. somewhere quiet, romantic, and just for you.. and your SO..
