Here is an exact copy (names omitted) of an email I just received on another site:

(When reading this bear in mind I have NO pictures on the site, and no information about me in my profile other than I'm 5'8, blue eyes, auburn hair and apx. 150 pounds. I think this guy must be psycho..errr...psychic.)

hello Angel,
i was just going through your profile. I saw in you,a woman that every man would really want to be with,a woman that is ready to love a man for who he is and a woman who really needs a very honest man in his life.i like honesty and i think i am very much interesyed in getting to know you more better.here is my yahoo id if you feel like chatting with me in getting to know me more better. (Deleted) I will be glad to hear from you soonest.

It's the "driftnet" approach to dating. Search the internet for some slick sounding words of wooing, and send them to every woman on a site. The odds are in favor of getting a response or two.

Oh sure, it's amazing what some women will respond to. And amazing what you can get them to do!

I really should feel bad...but I don't.

Jean,

It looks more like a standard reply he'd use for anyone he was interested in i.e. just change the names.

it's like spam - I'd rather someone say "like profile, if interested why not chat and get to know each other." It might be small but it's honest and direct.

'John'...On the original post from Jean, she states there is nothing on her profile except the basics. The sender does not know anything else about her. The email sent does not jive to Jean's profile statistics.

actually this is pretty common of the types of scam emails the men get. A broken English plea to our basic wants of honesty and security along with a "contact me on Yahoo" rider.
