okay i'll admit it i watched dr. phil today. it was about "what's wrong with men?"
it started out talking to 3 ahole single guys, yes they were young and good looking and looking for a good time. on the other side of the fence were 3 single ladies, one who could go out and have fun without expectations, one that had an agenda and only wanted mr. right, no one else would do. and the third was a victim of scammer men. none of this had to do with internet dating, just real life dating and situations.
dr. phil did point out a fallacy "that all men are looking for sex" he went on to say that it changes when we turn 30 or so and start looking for a long term partner....
what are us single older guys supposed to do? most of us really don't want to buy another house for a woman, i seriously doubt that i will find ms right, again. having fun with someone may or may not include sex, i know the grls are in charge or making that decision,
so md, what's wrong with me? where did i go wrong thinking i could find a date here?

faulty logic as you are dateable. (based on your friends list...  .).your standards might be a tad high though??

. . or, it could be because you watch Dr. Phil? I know that every time I ask woman, "How's that workin' out for you?" there is a shocked expression followed by an immediate frantic escape. Of course, you mileage may vary . . .always consider the source.

i knew i was going to take heat for admitting that i watched dr. phil. wally was sleeping on the remote and i couldn't find it.....the channel selector on the tv is broken, i fell and couldn't get up...
anyway i didn't want this thread to be about me, but more about feeling broken because of ongoing rejection or not finding what we are looking for....
at some point it sinks in that....
the only thing in common with all of our failed relationships is us...

Bro, try getting off the couch and turning off the boob tube and actually getting out into the real world. Obviously what your doing is "not working for ya" so try something different. Find a lady that has your interests and values by finding one where you go to express your enterests and values. Unless your interest and values are MD and forum posts, you are fishin in the wrong hole.

Doggone, 2 nice lookin older guys and where am I?? Who knows? I'm in my permanent state of blonde confusion!
I've been looking for a while too and something just seems to get in the way of finding that one person. But I haven't yet given up hope. Of course, if I really had time to think about it, I may give up. But thank goodness I'm too busy to realize it might never happen!

duk, i had dinner with my town's only single lady tonight, i have joked about her here before....the lady i thought was 86 and looking for someone younger than me, is really 97.
i had a nice dinner with her and her nephew, who's in his 70's.
