Just keeping on the theme here today.
My ex wife and I were friends and it's really all we should have ever been. We did have a lot of fun going to parties together and just doing family things. I do miss some of our fun conversations.

Nothing from the wife, but from the ex-girlfriend I sure do miss those two guns I gave her. Sex once or twice a day was nice too, but boy I sure do miss those guns...

OK, for me it's ex-boyfriend. I miss the obvious, especially spooning and waking up in the morning. I miss the morning coffee and doing crosswords together, and evenings curled up together watching DVD's. And Graystar's post about Car Talk reminded me that I miss listening to it with him...it's just not as much fun listening by myself.

Every Saturday morning the wife and I would get bagels and coffee a block away from where we lived. We drove, and sat parked at a hydrant to listen to Car Talk.
That was fun...but I wouldn’t go so far as to say I miss it.

He knew how to make me laugh. And dancing around the living room on Saturday mornings. Oh, and the sex.

With one of them, I miss the friend factors, like working on projects together and having someone who could trade sarcasm and wit with me. We were joined at the hip on those levels.
With the other, I miss the sex.

What do I miss about my ex-wife? Hmmm... well, I don't miss the verbal abuse, the throwing things, the shouting, screaming, long dark silences, the bitterness, resentment, hatred... ummm.... oh dear, there's nothing else. Oh well, I guess I don't miss anything then.

Presence of Spirit, laughter, sharing the love of music, sharing stories, silence, gentle holding, hanging out and talking about everything or nothing of any consequence whatsoever.
Quietly residing within the Soul of each other. Stillness.
Moments of complete tenderness, whether spoken or unspoken.

I miss all the romantic stuff...but what sticks out in my mind is having sex at a drive-in theatre.
