Another great thread that I hope doesn't die down.
I'm seem to "get in late"  Still good.
I don't so much mind getting winks or emails w/o the person having read my profile. It generally becomes pretty evident upon first contact.
It's when they "pretend" that they "did" that .... ummm... pi...no.. angers me greatly.  How Stupid do these people think we are????
AND how about speed-reading emails??? Hmmmmm????? How about that????
Once in awhile, maybe okay, but come on.... on a regular basis to only half-read an email....yep... you're interested okay... in "raking in" the next lady on your list.

I always read the profile. If I wink, I do it because there isn't enough information to write an email. Winks kind of mean I'm physically attracted, let's see if our personalities click.

Many if not most males go by a woman's face alone, whether it is on a street, bar-lounge or website; males are more visual oriented that females; we all should know that by now. A woman's face is many things to many males. It can be alluring, enticing, sublime, a turn-on or off, negative in varying degrees, too out-right ugly; how the male brain interprets the visual signals is...can be "frustrating" for many women.
Men certainly do see a profile attached to or on a woman they see or meet in a restaurant, a sidewalk, or a park, yet many will "flirt" ; a smile, a "hello" etc. so why not on a website???? Where is there any "rule" or custom not to wink or e-mail a woman based solely on her face, or whatever else may be in a posted photo.....?Women do the same thing; it is a form of communication; how you the receiver, interpret the message is your choice regardless if the man actually puts into words....which is more important, the attempt at communication or the message ??

Well LipGlossQueen9, that guy is a perfect example of how even an idiot can operate a computer.
I wouldn't be surprised if his PC has spyware and a few viruses. What a maroon!

Yes, and then there's the guys who always ask me what do I do for a living, when it's written right in my profile, or how tall I am when it's written right in my profile, lol. Jeez, it get's old. Like, can we possibly be a little more literate?

The 1 thing that gets me is that most people dont read the profiles. If I am interested, I read it before I contact them. I have received several winks from people who are looking for 1) non-smokers, 2) average, thin, a few extra pounds.
First of all for several gentlemen on here that I have seen on here, they say a few extra pounds. Why is it women are generally more honest about their weight.........e.g. one man put a few extra pounds, he was 5-11 and 300 pounds. For me, that is not a few extra. If you want an honest relationship, be honest with yourself first, and please, above all else, read my profile before winking or emailing me. I am not going to change my habits to conform to anyone to please them. I am who I am, like me or not, your choice. But above all else, read before contacting me. The other thing is, out of state and out of country......not happening lol. Have a great one.

I always read a profile before winking or sending a message. If someone sends a wink or message to me its the first thing I do before I respond. If someone contacts you just by looking at your picture they're not worth your time.

Profile? There are profiles?
ok, jk.
I tend to read them, but if I see someone that is posting stuff in the forums that I generally agree with, or have a need to adress or whatever, I will send a wink as well. To me, it isnt a "hey, lets get together (online)" thing. It can also be simply a "hey, I noticed what you said, and it sounds like what I would say in that position"

Lovin the new feature on the profiles. It shows if the person has viewed, emailed, or winked at you. Of the last 10 winks I've gotten it only showed one had looked at my profile.
