actually, I reckon what defines me besides my wit, intelligence, tender heart, and infectious personality; is my ability to always get back up on my feet again after I get knocked down...they say you can put a good Indian down, but you can't keep 'em down!

Unlike a definition in a dictionary what defines me changes constantly.

I'm laughing about something angel said in a different thread that she would be afraid to meet me, because I reckon I can be defined by my heart that is tender and forgiving enough that I hardly ever hold grudges or resent people for very long, I'm 'umble enough to know that "its" not all about me, and I'm very loyal and willing to help anyone.
example: I worked with one of the worst brown-noser's you ever saw in your whole life. one time we were working for a foreman he was sucking up to so he could get easy jobs and one day when we were out busting azz unloading a boxcar full of ties, an easy job suddenly appeared that required two guys to go about 100 miles away with the truck, and the foreman picked me to go. the brown-noser got so mad he told me that one day he was going to be the vice-president of the railroad and he would fire my azz, discrimination or not!
years later when I was the president of our local union lodge, our "brothers" all voted to disqualify this chump and have one of his machine dates taken away. I was the only one who spoke up and voted against it because their reason didn't seem valid enough to me, I knew of others who had gotten away with the same thing as what they said he did without being similarly penalized, and I knew they were all doing it to him because he wasn't very popular.
nevertheless, 2 yrs later when he was acting foreman of Larimore section and I was mowing grass along the track right-a-way's with the Langdon tractor-mower, and completly independant of anyone but the Roadmaster's authority; while I was in Larimore I came a little late to work and the chump snitched me out to the Roadmaster. it was none of his business why I was late and I could have been doing something job related that he didn't know about.
anyway, at noon we were all at the depot and the snitch told me I was supposed to call the RM and "boy are you in trouble for being late, I think he's going to send you home for the rest of the day"! well, because I was on my own and with my own time-roll, I told the RM I was at the gas station picking up a flat tire I had left there at the end of the previous day, and then I said I know who told you I was late and its none of his business anyway because I don't work for him. after I hung up the phone I turned around and enjoyed the sight of the little snitch's big ol' phoney smile slowly fade from off his face while it also was turning red!
so, dear angel, plz don't be afraid of poor ol' chubs!
