Ok ladies, I see this all the time, mostly from the music industry. But in public occasionally.
So would you date a man that wears make up ? And would it matter what kind, or wear they wear it ?
Is lipstick ok ?
Nail polish ? Would you want to share your polish with a guy ? Would you want to share his ?
Call me old fashion, but other than passing out in a hotel in Chicago ( with a group of friends ........ ahem..  ) I was raised that a real man would never be caught dead wearing makeup, now, if you are in a band, it is expected.......
At what point in a mans life does he say to himself, wow that color would look great on me ? I don't get it......... And I don't see what would make him attracted to women ?

All my best make-up tricks I learned from the guys in the bands I used to work for 
But iffen I saw them sporting such offstage, I'd called them out as the Nancy Boys they most certainly would be

Ok, even if you are in a band, what makes a guy wear nail polish ? Does it make him look " cool " to the women ?
I just don't see it as masculine at all............ ever ?

I think of they TYPES of men that I THINK may wear makeup & I come up with a very sound NO in answer to your question. I just don't think, in all likelihood, that I would be compatible with those men.
As an aside item to this topic....I am an American Idol fan... 
Did anyone see the pics on the 'net of top 12 contestant Adam Lambert?
Yeah, he wears makeup and nail polish.
He's one helluva singer, too!

My very good buddy wears a black strip down each nail for gigs because this is what Steven Tyler does, and he fronts the official Aerosmith tribute band. I taught him the fine art of waving it dry as opposed to blowing it dry, which only wets it more

I remember watching the Apprentice last season, and the big tall country singer, had to go buy make up for the backstreet boys I think, the look of disgust was priceless. That and he had to find the wimp some wheat grass or some shit....
Shows the big difference between Country, and pop, thats for sure.

but seriously...makeup on men ... is gay. and i'm only saying that cos i can't use the word i want that i would use if i was around my peers.

I have been in plenty of bands in my days, and never have I wore makeup.
Believe me, if anyone else in my band would have wore it, they never would have heard he the end of it from the other band members.
