Threads like this just crack me up. It amazes me, how we judge others, for having standards that do not match our own. We call them shallow, because they treasure a quality in a person that we do not find to be important. Now I ask you, who is being shallow?
Beautiful people are no different from those of us, who are average, plain or just down right ugly. In my experience, I find that they often have better social skills (after all, they often have more social experience) and they are quite personable. Can they be high maintenance? Sure, some are, just as some are not.
Just think of some of the beautiful people, who are on this site. Mystery, Jen, Painter, Sweetheart, Willowy...Would you say that any of them have a personality that is inversely proportional to their looks? I wouldn't. They, along with many others are incredibly beautiful women & I for one, find each to be intelligent, articulate, personable, kind & decent.
If you want to have a happy, long term relationship, then you need to know what it is that you desire in a partner. If physical beauty is a part of that, then there is nothing wrong with that. Of course, we can continue to be shallow & apply our own standards to others.
Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but stupid is for life.

Everyone is beautiful in their own way...whether it's outside, inside or both.Although some might seem not very attractive on the inside or out, they have qualities that are "beautiful".Why some might not be appealing to others, that doesn't mean that someone out there doesn't consider this person to be the "most beautiful" person in this entire world.
Each and every one of us defines beauty in a different way.....that's one of the reasons that make all people beautiful.

Having never watched Judge Judy, I wouldn't know. What I was doing, was combining two sayings
1. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
2. Ignorance is cureable, but stupid is for life.

Isn't it great that we are all so different in our perspectives and opinions? That's what makes this so much fun!
Everyone has a different "turn-on" button as to what they like in the opposite sex. If everyone looked the same or wanted the same, life would indeed be boring!
And I've always said, God made me fat to make the skinny ladies look better!

My partner's looks are important to me. I cannot have sex with, kiss, etc someone I'm not attracted to. Granted it's not the most important thing, but it is important. I want to be able to admire the physical beauty of my boyfriend as well as his inner beauty. Luckily, I can do that =D

XD I was with him for three weeks...and have seen him when he didn't shower for three, four days...not to mention the morning breath/hair and the five o'clock shadow. He's still beautiful to me <3

Hey...I be real purdy!
I am 4'2", 473 lbs, and bee-yoo-tee-ful. I have 3 hairs on the top of my head I have braided with a purple barette. Have a slight crosseyed look, that is not too noticeable because of me smile with my one toof hanginging over my full pouty lips.
I have one leg shorter than the other causing a limp, and makes my right boob slap the floor when I walk, unless I tuck them into my thong. My best feature is my laugh...*Ha-YAH ha-YAH ha-YAH! SNORT SNORT!*
Now dont all be wooin me...I be a busy gal, cleanin' anal glands of the neighbors dogs!
