I've been seeing ads for a new reality show. The basis being singles getting to know each other "in the dark". At the end, after some mingling, their partners are revealed, and I'm curious how they're going to react.
Does it make them superficial if they connect in the dark and are repulsed in the light?

yeah, I saw those same ads and right away thought it must be kinda like MD...I've heard you never really know who's photo on here is for real, or a pic taken from photo bucket!

Haven't seen the ads, but it makes me wonder .....

What, exactly, will they be doing in the dark?

And .... are they gonna have cross dressers and so forth to make it really interesting?

Sounds like a dumb show to me, but then again, I'm blonde so I'd probably watch it!

The idea is interesting..Looks do play a big role and for alot its the most important.

I would do it if only to learn more about myself

There's no "trick" as far as I could tell. Just darkness with a big reveal at the end.

Yes, looks are important, to a point.

My personal theory...the handsomest person can become ugly with their words, and behavior. And someone you might not have ever considered can become beautiful in your eyes when you get to know their heart.

I don't believe that reality shows have much of reality...

they will cast and script. I believe it would be just some acting but no rel cases.

Anyway.. it might be good entretainment for someone.

This reminds me of what I refer to as "The Wild Wild West Dating Days" on Yahoo instant messenger.

That is when I used to search for random "online status" women and just start up a random conversation by just saying: "Hi, how are you" to see where that might lead. Keep in mind that many had no picture or they chose to use their best looking picture in their profile. A picture that was actually 10-15 years younger.

Come to find out the scary reality ....... hey that's unfair...... you are actually fatter than your old profile picture shows, balder, and in reality after this date we just had ...... you seem to be kind of a b!tch too.

I'VE BEEN CHEATED

Those were the days
