So I see this profile of this really cute girl. She writes that she loves to play guitar and sing and her life revolves around it. She posts a link to one of her videos.
My game plan is that I'm going to tell her how much I love her video and how fantastic she is on the guitar. I'll through in what a sweet voice she has and ask her if she has ever considered getting an agent. (I just happen to know one of course.  )
I don't really care what she sounds like, that's what I'm going to say anyway. But at the last minute before writing I figure I'll click on the link and take a listen so I can customize my suave approach and maybe put a cherry on that chocolate sundae.
Good God almighty she sucked! She was so bad I just clicked out of her profile and ran!
This is why I don't ever meet anyone online anymore. This kind of thing ever happen to you?

You need to develop or work on "Selective Hearing", most men have this skill honed by our age DR.
We usually use it to tune out the Blah, blah, blah......blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...... blah, blah. And our typical response should be ...... ummmm yes, uh-huh, yeah sure, ok. This is how you pretend that you care when, in fact, you really don't.
I think that you need to brush up on your "tuning out" skills DR. and keep your focus tuned into the "Real Prize" that awaits you.

Is a good thing you runed away.. probably that girl didn´t deserve such a dishonest aproach from you or anyone at all.

The only time I runned away was when on a first date I drop the girl at her house kiss her good night, she opens the door a cat walks ot, she grabs him and says with a cartoonish voice to the cat... "say good night to daddy"...
THAT was scary...

My eyes were watering from 30 seconds of that voice. My ears still hurt today.
And she calls that playing the guitar? I've heard better sounds coming out of construction sites on demolition day.
She doesn't need a date, she needs a quarantine!

Your mistake was in using an approach that was not truthful.
Maybe your were surprised by the outcome [her not being musically inclined], but I don't think you will ever receive a positive outcome if your beginning approach is deceitful.
