If you could genetically engineer a mate would you?
What I mean by genetic engineering a mate is this, alot of what we are is genetic, what we are attracted to what we are unattracted to, our looks and instinct on a basic level.
so these are the paramators.
A mate that is genetical attracted to your permanently physical features, whos personality is in synch with yours,
who is repulsed by any person of your sex that is not you, who has all the pshysical charatoristict that you find attractive.
who has a genetic reaction to your feramones so is horny when your horny and not when your not.
this is the technology should strive for, it would remove so much pain and suffering, divorce would not be so wide spread.
I know this sounds far fetched but genetics plays a role in much of those things already, but because we are a random mix of DNA we never match up 100% but if you could grow a mate that is genetically designed to fall in love with you and designed with all the qualities you find attractive or love in a person and none that you dont. would that not be great?

If I went and specifically asked for someone and had them "made" for me, paid for the service, I'd end up feeling as if I OWNED that person. That defeats the whole idea of a wonderful relationship in my book, in which two people join in a partnership. This doesn't sound like much of a partnership, a meeting of the minds.

Yea, sure. I'd make here look physically near perfect, but take out almost all the bitchy traits. Not completely though. She has to have a little bit of spunk! She would also be thrifty and not into big spending, so you never have to worry about buying her expensive gifts or her clearing out your bank account. But the most important thing is that she have an extremely high libido and want to have sex at least twice every day. Lastly, she would have great homemaking and cooking skiils, and be completely loyal to you.
I'd rather it be like Star Trek and the holodeck, than real life genteically made people. With a hologram, you could just turn it off when you didn't want them around.  It'll probably be another century before we have something like that, though.

I don't know if genetic predisposition would be so narley. I would much rather prefer some kind of an erasable reprogrammable memory feature which could be implanted in a woman's area of the brain such as: memory, emotions, personality, and sex drive. That way when you see the women with the perfect boobs you can just activate her horny chip.
I'd should look at using some of the technology that they used in the movies: The Matrix and Blade Runner. Heck I'm an engineer, I should be working on this kind of technology in my garage.
The horny chip...... any investors out there?

No. I want someone who is real and real is not perfect.
Loving someone includes accepting their "faults" as part of them and whether or not we can accept them.
So many are looking for a perfect person and that person does not exist. There is only "perfect for me".

If I want a challange I have a playstation, I like happy relationships.
And that is what is wrong with a lot of relationships in this day and age... people flock to game online instead of playing with their S/O .... btw the challenge I was talking about and the adventure I was talking about was in finding out about someone learning their nuances growing with each other...if they were engineered perfectly you would know what was coming next and I'll put in it gamers terms.. you'd have a cheat code to the relationship and it would get boring ...

OK we all know perfection does not exist, the point of this question was if you could have perfect would you?
the reason we drive instead of ride horses , the reason we have AC/Heating is because we want our lives to be closer to perfect, that is why we have technology.
Every improvment in our lives is the result of mankind striving for perfection be it medicine, air travel or the remote control.
All these thing invented to push us along in our quest for the perfect life.
as a result in 80 short years the average lifespan has jumped from 48 to 84(not exact but it sounds better) and genetic engineering is the next logical step.
also why would you want negitivity in your life if it can be helped?

Imperfections give rise for the excuse of breaking up, fighting ammunition, or complaining. It's all in the eye of the beholder.
It is best to form relationships with people you strongly believe you are most compatible with..... mentally and sexually. If you are fighting to make your relationship work out, then the relationship is probably doomed to breakup. It's a well established American statistic.

Why would I be responsible for the creation of a human being who would be unattracted to anyone else in the world?
Imagine that two days after I got her home from the "factory," I was happily daydreaming about all the great sex we had the night before, paying no attention and drove under a truck. Now there is a human being who will be miserable because I'm gone, and she is unable to find herself attracted to anyone else in the world, doomed to being unsatisfied and emotionally unfulfilled for the remainder of her life.
Nope, I want a lady who will be upset that I'm gone, who will need time to mourn the fact that I'm gone, but not one who can't go on. I wouldn't do that to her.

Hey an S/O I would choose over my games 90% of the time.
and for me NOT knowing what comes next is worse, thats why I hate dating, I like the stability of a realationship. and in the scenario I laid out she would still grow and learn she would just always keep the qualities I'm attracted too and she would always be attracted to me inside and out. basically you would have what we are all seeking here just avoiding the weeding out process and wasted time.
