there is a girl i want to ask out, but i dont kniw if she is married or has a boyfriend. also she cuts my hair at the salon i go to. i could ask her out and if she says no it could make things weird between us or it might work out. what should i do

Ask her if she'd like to grab a drink after work one night ~ casually. She'll probably let you know if she's seeing someone if she's not interested in dating you ~ and ~ if you're both modern-minded ~ you can still meet her for a drink and enjoy each other's friendship.
PS ~ An added perk is when you're out with a member of the opposite sex and not displaying chemistry ~ just fun ~ it makes others of the opposite sex comfortable to join in ~ so you might just meet someone new.
If she's not nice after asking her ~ dump her as your hairdresser since she has scissors.

one more thing to add, she did give me her cell phone# - she said she might be working someone else - is that normal for your stylest to give you her #

Actually, my stylist gave me her home number...but, we're both female...and she's married. Crap! Maybe she wants to go out with me?

That makes it even more perfect. Now you can call her to see if she's changing shops to set an appointment and if you call early evening you can say you're going down to XXX to grab a drink ~ wanta grab one too? It should be easier on the phone and you can excuse yourself from the call quickly if things get weird.
Jalon ~ I'd almost be willing to switch teams for you.....think of all the confusion we could create with our names.

Yes, it is normal for a stylist to give out her cell number especially if she is considering changing locations. She wants to be able to take her customers with her.
Just ask her if she's single or mention something about her "husband" must be lucky since he can get free haircuts or something like that.

Is she wearing a ring? If not, probably safe to ask her out .... consider it a chance to get to know her and have fun instead of thinking of it as a date .... in fact, don't ask her to "go out on a date", tell her you're going to a zoo or a fair or whatever and ask if she's like to go along ....
"Dates" create pressure and being uncomfortable and trying to impress the other and all that crap ....
Just don't get your expectations up for anything other than a few hours of her company .... if it goes well, go from there .... you'll know if she's interested in seeing you again or not.

Listen to LaidBack about the term date. I agree ~ that word creates pressure when it's better to take it naturally. You may just want her as a friend after hanging out with her ~ and you'll keep your hairdresser relationship then.

Just casually ask her if she'd like to go out sometime...Nothing serious...Act like it doesn't bother you one way or the other...That way if she's taken, she won't feel weird around you and you won't get hurt because she thinks your all hot and heavy for her...
Then again, I might not make sense and I'm probably not the best person to ask for advice...Or give it
