I have found that most people are hesitent on taking a chance with someone they just met.
So they go from one person to another scared to take a chance and as with all of the others,as soon as they get close they back off.
Life is to short and for those that want to get close and just back off remember one thing...........The person that you have got close to is just as scared as you are.
Most of us here came to take a chance, remember that one person you decide not to talk to anymore could be the very one that you were ment to be with.
Thats just my opinion.

I've never been scared (in my adult life) to take a chance. Some of the chances taken may have been wrong for me, but they were a definite learning experience. A year down & still going strong with the special man in my life. The latest lesson I've learned?? Two 'wrongs' can make a right!

I'm scared of a lot of things...Especially taking chances...They don't usually work out for me!
I do think though that what your saying is true in some instances...

^^^It doesn't count if you like it.
I think by this point in my life I'm willing to take *reasonable* chances. If someone pretty much has their sh!t together, then I'm all for taking chances. If they don't, then we're not on a level playing field...and I'm not so willing to stick my neck out.

I know I was terrified to take a chance again...made it work to my disadvantage for about 4 years...then SOMEHOW I let it go beyond dating and playing to actually caring about the other person and wanting to be with them for the rest of my life... its still scary at times and its hard to fight those run away before ya get hurt urges but believe me its been totally worth it...Mac is a wonderful man who was willing to go slow ans deal with my being afraid of trying again.. lucky me... he kept trying to get my attention for over a year and didn't give up .. thank goodness

Gonna get deep here.
You are either withholding your love in fear or giving your deepest gifts.
Right now and in every now moment you are either closing or opening. You are either waiting for something, more money, more security, more affection or you are living from your deep heart and giving what you most deeply desire to give, without WAITING.
If you are waiting for anything in order to live and love without holding back you are suffering. The way love moves you is your true destiny as long as you don't add fear to love's force, your life unfolds unimpeded.
If you add fear to your life as most people do, and wait to fully open, then your heart aches as your life curls into the shape of your chosen consolations and your heart's pains of closure slowly accumulates to unbearable.
Few men and women live their true destiny. Most follow a path bent by fear. Your true destinly is lived by giving everything and loving open without WAITING.
Right now you ae choosing to open and give fully or you are waiting. The opposite of love is fear.
How does your choice feel?
How would you live if you were fearless, if you lived your life as an expression of your deepest heart?

..going deep...???
perspectives are everything...
seems to me that most women are wanting it all....from the one special man who says he can deliver.. so they window shop and never buy anything....
and most men.. are wanting it all..from every woman that catches their eye...
so they pull out the shotgun and/or club and shoot/swing at anything that moves..
btw...
The opposite of love is fear.
sounds good.. but misses the mark...
when there is total love... nothing else really matters....
fear is just one emotion...out of many.. that keeps anyone from unconditional love...
..now if I could just figure out where sex fits into all this...
I would not be as.....
...
