This has been posted under the "Nice Guys vs. Jerks" but I think its' best suited as a "game"because that's where it lies.The thing here is the social dating game.That idiotic cat-mouse chase.She wants me,she doesn't know it yet,he wants me,he's not getting me crap.What is the thrill, I don't get it?I can hold my own in that game,but as I get older,the less I want to go to the trouble.Women complain about falling for a guy that turned out to be a jerk.Just look at the dynamics of what went on and it's easy to see how it happened and why it will continue to happen until the games are done.Guy came in,spun his magic and pushed the buttons.He scored.He turned out to be a jerk because playing such a game and spinning the lines and pushing buttons comes easily to a jerk.Think about it.Those tricky,c***y lines those body language gestures,they flowed naturally right?In another scenario such behavior would be considered vulgar and invasive.Just the right kind of natural behavior that reflects a jerk's personality.The same kind of manipulative mechanics a used car salesman uses to unload an overpriced lemon that will leave an old lady stranded on the side of a road.
Women use this too and the ridiculous cycle repeats.One side feeds the other and bad relationships and used feelings are born.
How long does the human race need,how many more sexual revolutions will happen before as whole society outgrows the mating games?

Mating games will not be outgrown. They can't be. If they are, like you are suggesting, we'd all be overrun with over population.
Okay, I'll take that back, after starvation reigns, and there are only one man and one female left on earth. 
Oh, I take that back, as well, as we all have heard, "I wouldn't ..... you if you were the last man on Earth!" 
I think the human race will survive. 
I'm more worried about that comet.

I'm not sure that I understand the relationship between this and population...  ..I'm confused.During the 60's and 70's the game didn't die,but it did mutate.It just seems to have returned with a vengence since the ideals of free love have faded in favor of the so called "new morality".

Well, I had thought you meant the "game" to dissapear, and everybody would just hook up like bunnies on whims of the wind.
All that "free love" of the 60's and 70's wasn't quite so "free" as not to have the usual relationship desires and issues.
As one female friend of mine of the era said about her well perceived promiscuity, "Like the rest of the girls I was looking for something, and unlike the rest of the girls, I had thought this was the way I would get it." Didn't work.
She had fun though, and herpes.

The "game" has never actually changed. Each generation or decade might dress it differently, and perhaps relabel it. But it is still the same game.
The only difference I can see in the past few generations is women having a greater respect for themselves sexually, whether they decide to engage, or not to engage... they are in charge of their sexual destinies.

Free love huh? Hm along with it came lots of drug use, babys were born and lots of STD. I don't call that free.

It's biological instinct.
In a sense, the female must invest a lot of time and energy (9 months of it) and then some more into raising offspring. She wants to find the best genes. She'll wait or hunt for them.
The male wants to make sure his genes are the best and the most prolific and wants them to get spread around.

Yes,biological instinct is at work,yet the thing I remember about the free love days was the attempt at erasing the game (which never happened)along with it's silly labels of "stud" and "slut".This never happened either,the terms are just as strong as they ever were.Still meaningless in my opinion though.
Human beings are social creatures with an intellect though,we don't spray territory and women don't come into heat like animals do.Human beings also have the concept of purely recreational sex which is something not shared with too many other animals.Other primates and dolphins being the few exceptions(maybe more ,but I'm not sure).Most other animals mate ONLY for procreation.

I suspect we will evolve bright colored genitalia and maybe even colorful plumage before society outgrows the mating games.

Maybe Im not thinking of the same game....but I actually like it. I look as the game to be the back and forth of flirting, jabbing words and poking fun. Its like a dance .forward a few paces then back..but flowing nicely. Thats my game.
