This is good a place as any for people to meet, at least I do not have to scroll through 25 pages of "who's online" till I get to my age group!

I am new to this, what the heck is a thread?
Each message is a "post". Posts strung together form a "thread". In this particular case, the name of the thread is "Have you ever considered dating someone from the forums here??". A grouping of threads form a "forum". In this case, the name of the forum is "Dating & Romance". A group of forums is simply the "forums". In this case the "Match Doctor Forums".

I know when I was new to forums, this is the sort of information I wish someone would have given me.
And it is on topic. One cannot answer the question posed without knowing what "forums" means.
