Just means......she supported and raised her kids....they are gone and she doesn't want another to put a roof over his head....
I agree totally... I'm pretty forward in my profile, that we should each be able to support ourselves.

Sometimes the simple things means just that...they stopped persuing..."Keeping up with the jones'." I love that a man doesn't feel the need to own every new toy that comes out...The simple pleasures...sunsets..walks..what GOD and nature has given and not gadgets....*hates gadgets*

on a couple of points that probably make me an odd duck
1. "no preference": I really don't have a height, weight, income, hair style, favorite flavor of ice cream preference in anyone I go out with. Short women can be just as sexy as tall women. Larger women can be just as sexy as small women. Hair styles can change, income can change (and to be perfectly honest if you're on matchdoctor you probably aren't living in abject poverty)
2. form letters: guilty as charged with one minor defense. I have a standard "hi nice to meet you" form i tend to use. It saves me plenty of time typing. HOWEVER, I do always customize a couple of paragraphs for each individual I send mail to. Look at it this way, If I wrote one mail per day and spend half an hour on it, I'm spending over one week a year doing nothing but writing emails on a dating site to women which i have honestly no clue whether they are interested, still single, or even check their mailboxes. I have other things to do too ya know ;).

Yeah, I'm looking for someone to pamper me too - how about taking Monday off work so you can stay home and wash the blood and scales out of my fishing boat for me. If you want pampering - pamper yourself - I've raised three kids - I was done with pampers a long time ago.

Red flag warning to men:
do not send me interests that follow this pattern:
"We would love to meet you..."(makes me want to say 'we are not amused')
"I have a plane..."(well, goodie goodie gum drops- I have a... well, let's just say it's not for sale)
"I want to make you my princess..."(and how many of the last 20 girls have responded to that? Come on, it's just too cheezy.)
"nice pic/profile"(wow,a man of words. Funny, I was so close to posting a profile that said, 'dowdy cow in need bank account & body for sunday rituals' but I just couldn't get the wording right.)
...and my favorite...
"your men must bleed ice"(Oh, do stop you sexy beast. No, it's not like that- I just don't have time for little weenies like you)
I know what I like, we know what we like... just a shame about those little red buggars.
