Bored with the situation? Yes. Not devious, though. I have my guard up and don't want him to know he's getting to me. (Quite honestly, I don't think he knows quite what to do with me, because I think he's used to being pursued.)

He's not married, Clickety! Really! That's not the issue here.
Also, if he was looking for a quickie with me, his approach would have been different, and he probably wouldn't have told me he had a girlfriend. (You know, guys do a lot of things to promote jealousy in women. Maybe he just told me that. I never did see him with a woman that day, and he hasn't mentioned her since. I also never asked anything more about her. Dead subject.)

Correction, Clickety - He might be TRYING to do me by now, not doing me! He knows I'm not an easy pursuit in that regard. His methods are way too subtle. He seems to be a gentleman, for the most part, but a very immature one! We all have our battles...

Are you really 49 ? That was not my impression after reading your initial thread post.
Anywho, the hot and cold thing is a red flag, and i can"t think of any GOOD explanation for this..as in a "justifiable" reason to still think of this guy as potential dating material.
As Gallows mentioned, it could be dependent the surrounding audience of person or person's...for example his family, his girl friend, or his buddies..in any case, not good. Any man worthy of being with, will proudly proclaim his interest, regardless of the witness.
2nd option could be he figured out that you are not an easy lay after his first meeting with you...the meeting when he treated you attentively..but after he figured out that you are not "scram to go", he is now no longer interested. again, not good.
Someone that is complementary and friendly one day, and then acts as though he hardly knows you the next.......there are no GOOD explanation's for this behavior..

This sounds like Kindergarten to me.
I don't see why men and women feel the need to play games. It's as simple as asking if they want to date you or not. A simple "Are you interested in dating me" should do the trick. Why get yourself worked up over something a simple question could answer.
Hey Flea, you interested in dating me?
See..... he will give me an answer ( I hope...lol) and we move on from there...no need to play the kindergarten games for a year.....

I have been hurt and caused hurt through a mishandling of a this or that so many times it would make me dizzy just to count them all up. And I still say '"look before you leap" is a suckers mistake, just as is jumping feet first is.
No, these simply just dont really work.
Its gotta be head first with arms wide open, or how you gonna catch on to one another?? Is ya worried about dying from a broken neck? Living with a broken heart is much more worst.

Hey Flea, you interested in dating me
Will do. But considering how far away you live, I hope the wind is blowing in the right direction when you blow me one of those far away kisses.
Shouldn't I punch you or sumptin first to make it official?
