Am I being a jerk? YES I AM, and there is a reason why.
No, you're not being a jerk Coil....you're merely speaking the truth, and if some take offense to that...then they're in denial.
I think the majority of us have been hurt, in regards to loving and losing...therefore, we are very aware/leary of what and/or who we may encounter on the net. This does not stop us from looking for and craving that once felt thing called "love".
The "obsession" with the the word love, is merely human nature. We all (except for the minute few) need and want to be loved. A world without love is a world devoid of purpose....IMO....as love is what drives many of us to keep going on life's extremely treacherous "highway".
I, for one, am definitely not in any hurry in finding love....I made that mistake once, and I learn by my mistakes.
You're extremely observant opinion is appreciated...to those that perhaps are looking for the love of their life with their "eyes wide shut"...thank you.

in ref. to there being alot of vulnerable people here......They are everywhere...not just on sites for dating.... Maybe thru reading posts some will be able to learn. To be able to touch someones heart whether you will meet or not is still very precious. For some it may be all thats needed to. Love will always be in the air and it will always be what we are striving for.

People really think they will find LOVE here. Half the poeple here are speaking to people they will never meet. The other half are speaking to someone that they prob have a wrong impression of.

After reading "some" of the posted comments, it kinda seems that one camp of people have a fairly narrow definition for the word "love".
And then when nothing comes along in their lives to fit into that narrow definition, failure is assumed to have been met.
That sounds kinda sad to me.
Love does not necessarily include "tenderness". (Or perhaps I mistake the intent of this thread.)
By expanding the definition for the term "love", and therefore in believing that your life has been graced with more examples of "love"; the individual "sees" more joy in the world around them.
*grin*
Is the person unable to see love anywhere around them more satisfied with the quality of their life??
Or is "satisfaction-with-life" not a worthy pursuit?
